My controller isn't recognized by my PS4 after reset.

Hey guys!

I reset the settings of my PlayStation because it didn't recognize my microphone anymore. After that, I plugged the controller in via USB to the PlayStation and pressed the PS button, but nothing happened.

I did a hard reset on both the PS4 and the controller, and I also tried a non-official controller with no results.

Hello everyone, a very important thing to reset the controller with a USB cable is that it must be a data cable and not just a charging one, otherwise it won't work. Connect the controller, then press the power button on the PS4 and hold it down until the second beep. The safe mode will appear, turn on your controller by pressing the PS button and it will work, insha'Allah. After that, hit restart.

Hello, I have this problem too, the controller is new but not official (it's the Nacon brand). I wanted to reset the PS4 and after that, I got the blue screen where they say to press the PS button on the controller, and nothing happens when I press it. I tried what you said but I end up on the same screen with the same problem. The controller was working very well before the reset. Also, since it's not an official controller, there is no reset button on the controller, and I can't change the USB cable since it's a wired controller.
Can you please help me??
Thank you!

Hello, I confirm that it's the controller cable that's the solution! I reset my PS4 and then couldn't connect one controller. I reset the controllers, unplugged and plugged back the PS4, and started the PS4 in safe mode. I tried 4 different controller cables. Nothing worked. Then I found an original cable and the controllers connected without any issues.
