Unable to open xsl and xslx files

I don’t know why but I can’t open my Excel files with the xls and slsx extensions anymore. I reinstalled Excel in vain. For the default programs, I can’t find Excel. No application is available on my PC to open them. When I click on them I get the preview and I can copy into Excel without any problem, but I have far too many files; I’d need a solution.
Could you help me? Thank you in advance.

Hello,
What is your usual software for opening these files?
Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, LibreOffice, or others...

Hello,
Can you open them from the Excel window? If yes, click File, Options, Advanced, General, verify that the option "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange" is disabled (valid for Excel Windows).

In Excel the files are indeed in the list but "files not found". I’ve also checked and "ignore other apps" is properly disabled
Thank you for replying

Hello, I do not use OneDrive and my files are still in the same folders. They have not been moved or renamed. Thank you for your response

Hello,
as practically the whole thread is made up of "comments" (like mine...), it needs to be unfolded

And thus, one can see its "reply" (comment)

It's an option that I personally have never liked...
To return to the requester’s problem, I think (or more...) that your reply in post 2 is the solution...
Have a nice day
@cousinhub, hello,
Thanks for the tip.

Hello,
Randomly, if you have OneDrive, check there to see if your files have been transferred...
