How to remove the Sidebar in Firefox installation

Hello everyone, since a week ago when Firefox announced that we would soon have to migrate to W11, my PC suddenly started lagging.
On YouTube, the mouse cursor has almost a 10-second delay and typing is pretty much the same, when I type a letter it takes time to show up!
I constantly have to go through Ccleaner and turn the PC off and on to gain a bit of speed, but after a few hours the PC becomes unusable!
This evening I reinstalled Firefox but I find myself with a left sidebar displaying ChatBotIA, tabs from other devices, etc. and it’s impossible to get rid of this thing that's going to make me throw the PC out the window!
I can minimize it, but we still have a 2cm wide banner all the way down with a gear "Settings" at the bottom!
If anyone can help me that would be great, this thing just appeared in Firefox and there’s no feedback on old posts about how to get rid of this sticky and useless thing.

Hello,

It's all good, I fixed the problem, the PC flew onto the road and I caused an accident!
A guy was passing by and he got hit in the head by the PC............ Just kidding, I just uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and that damn banner disappeared like magic! I wanted to install an old version of Firefox but it's no longer possible, we're automatically redirected to the latest one. Anyway, sorry for bothering you and sorry for my stress, but I've been suffering from chronic migraines for 3 months nonstop and this was the last straw for my little brain.
Kisses to the whole forum :)
Hello
I didn't understand anything because Firefox never told me I needed to switch to Win11, and it never displayed everything you mentioned.
So who or what showed you that message? A mystery to me.
Who or which site have you authorized to send you suggestions in Firefox?
For me, it's Microsoft Edge that opens the Windows settings, and it can both search and show info and tutorials, as well as make adjustments directly in Windows.
If an AI gets involved, I'm directly blaming the AI, sorry, this just came out and we're the guinea pigs.
Or we don't have the same Firefox on our PCs.
I only download and install the stable version of Firefox from Mozilla's servers, and I don't let just any customization happen. If I need to customize, it's my customizations.

Ps: CCleaner
It's been years since I stopped using it. We no longer know what it does and we've realized that on Win 10 and 11, it removes what should speed up Windows, which has to tirelessly reconstruct huge files and indexes by going through all the hard drives that are accessible to it, for example.
The complete pro version asks you to make lots of updates to many software. Is it a coincidence? Your story started with that a week ago.
Hello again
Ah! Okay, Firefox 133 was successfully installed during an update and didn't insist on anything for me,
-
so I knew that all versions are offered for download in the same place, but that only the stable version, also simply called (recommended), is intended for the average user. I have always wisely avoided the "risks associated with the others", and what is called "lab"oratory given the associated definition.
-
So the other versions were clearly identified before as intended for the "voluntary testers" of the Mozilla community, and they are not free of bugs since it is precisely the role and purpose of the "testers" to report them to the programmers for corrections. A large number completely separate a "test PC", or juggle with "sandboxes" that require a more powerful PC with more resources.
And that takes time too.
-
The beta would be the most advanced, the one with the least bugs, and normally awaited "stable" certification to make the proposed or automatic updates.
-
The nightly version offers the latest code proposed from the previous day, in theory the buggiest but tests the latest features for people used to finding unstable systems, or even needing to reinstall the PC at any moment.
-
Normally, testers do not come to CCM for bugs, but to the Mozilla site to submit "tickets" that "Mozilla programmers" work on to resolve.
Hello everyone, I've read each of you and I'm going to add a few clarifications!...
So here it is, my PC has been slowing down since the day I saw that it would soon be necessary to migrate to W11 and that some PCs, unfortunately, wouldn't be able to make the migration.
Every 4 hours on average, the PC became unusable, for example, when writing a comment, the letters I typed appeared 8 seconds later and the mouse cursor was the same, sometimes it wouldn't even appear on the screen!
I thought about deleting and reinstalling Firefox, but during installation, I ended up with this sidebar that I can't remove, and it's seriously starting to annoy me! If each person has to spend 3 days searching, and we multiply that by millions of users, I say it's really excessive!
It's no longer a PC screen; it's become a mandatory info screen imposed by them. They might as well take control of the PC with their AI chatbox, and I’ll throw the PC in the trash and sell my brain!
No, seriously, I don’t know what to do anymore except throw the computer out the window.
Hello,
That said, whether Windows 11 or not, Firefox does not replace Windows Update and does not announce anything, does not install artificial intelligence except through extensions or if we activate the "experimental features" in Firefox Labs, which are not enabled by default and do not display outside of this sidebar context unless this option is checked in the menu.
Firefox Sidebar Keyboard Shortcut Project: (Windows + Mac).
Mozilla is currently working on adding a keyboard shortcut to expand the Firefox sidebar.
Keyboard shortcuts to perform the following actions:
Or the last option considered:
Has nothing to do with the current shortcut "Ctrl + H" to open the Firefox sidebar.

Hello,
Before tinkering, start by removing at least the AI Chatbot mentioned in the initial topic of Firefox Labs settings, as the direct consequence is to open the said artificial intelligence in a sidebar.
Hello,
If the Firefox Lab option is enabled (by default it is not enabled), it's already somewhat of a workaround.
It remains one option among many others in the Firefox Settings.
Of course, but we need to proceed by elimination: unless we have installed an extension for that purpose, the presence reported by the author of Chatbot in the sidebar results from this Firefox Labs option and we do not see why this sidebar would not disappear once the option is disabled, and possibly that of displaying the sidebar in the menu, before addressing other causes.
I don't remember if during the installation or update Firefox "insists" on this option, in which case one might get tricked by clicking too quickly, somewhat like those programs that install search bars, third-party software, and other unwanted features.
