Hello,

My HP Envy 7224e printer turns on as soon as I plug it into the outlet, and the printer starts up without me pressing the on/off switch. Is this normal considering that previously the printer had been properly turned off by pressing its switch? What do you think?

    Should we understand here that your On/Off switch no longer affects its position, On=turns your printer on, Off=does not turn your printer off?

    What I understand from what you said is that you plug it into the power outlet and your printer starts up and becomes ready for printing.
    ► Is that right?
    If so, you may have "shunted" the On/Off button, intentionally or not, so that it starts remotely for example, maybe via an app on your smartphone or something else.
    Wait for another opinion from someone who owns this model.
