Hello everyone, I have a problem with my computer screen, my image is cut in half!
So I started a complete restoration of Windows which took 3 hours only to end up with the same result, whether I connect my TV or the computer screen, it’s the same. And as soon as I "touch" the mouse, the screen turns black but stays on. I managed to change the resolution but it’s still the same. For now, I've gone back to W7 and everything works. I don’t understand the issue?
Thanks

Hello,
It's quite difficult to respond without any references to the hardware...
It's specified in the guidelines... the brand of the PC and the model... otherwise the reference of the motherboard... and the graphics card...
Here, it's probably the graphics card that's at fault, due to the settings assigned to it in Windows... You say you went back to Win 7... but you don't mention which version is faulty..?? and is it 32-bit or 64-bit..??
Screen connected via VGA or HDMI or DVI or other
You need to check how your display is configured in Windows 7 and the graphics card... Write it down well and replicate it in your other Windows.
It's possible that this is a normal function of Windows... Yes indeed... try holding down the Windows key and then pressing the right or left arrow... this will duplicate your screen... -
Good evening and thank you for this quick response.
Indeed, the PC is a Lenovo model Ideacentre 510A 15ARR
With 12GB of RAM and 3.6 GHz running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
I am connected via HDMI.
I'll check that, because actually I have 2 hard drives:
1 with Windows 7 on SSD (no display issue)
and the other 1TB HDD with Windows 10 has a display problem
I either use one or the other, they are not connected at the same time. -

Very well... try the trick I gave you at the end, using the Win key. -
Hello,
I have the impression that you have set your display to extended mode.

Switch between display modes using the keyboard shortcut, Win + P.

Hello, I simply resolved the problem by reinstalling W10.
Thank you
