Hello,
Is there a way to quickly find all the movies and videos I might have on my computer and my external hard drive?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Configuration: Windows 10 browsing Google Chrome on Inspiron 17

Hello,
In principle, you should organize and group all files of the same type into specific folders on your computer so that you can quickly find what you want and locate it.
For example, on my desktop computer, which has several hard drives, I group all video files on 2 2TB drives with subfolders like series, movies, or TV films because I record a lot of TV on my PC. I do the same for my personal documents and my videos.
The best thing to do if you only have one hard drive on your laptop is to put all your video files in the Video library by creating specific folders or not.
Finding things quickly... I'm not sure, but you can try using the search function to find all file types ending with common video extensions like .avi, .mp4, .wmv, .mkv, .mpg, etc.
That will still take quite a bit of time to properly locate all the files, especially if you have a lot of them.
Then you'll need to relocate them to better "organize/store" the files on your computer. Do the same on your external hard drive if you wish.
Since video files are often large, you could also use the small software WinDirStat (portable or not) which allows you to visualize not only the space occupied by large files but also identifies them by type.
I would also suggest organizing them according to a classification of your choice afterwards.
Best regards
