Hello,
I have a Windows 11 laptop with an HDMI output on which I’ve connected a Viewsonic monitor that has both a VGA input and an HDMI input. Normally this screen is connected via VGA to a Startech hub, which also has my mouse, webcam, and an Ethernet cable plugged in. When I connect the screen via HDMI through the hub, it doesn’t work, and when I connect it directly to the PC’s HDMI port, its resolution doesn’t go beyond 1280 x 720. Moreover, I can’t change it in the settings because it’s greyed out. By contrast, when I connect the screen via VGA, it works at 1920 x 1080 and I can access its resolution.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, I’d appreciate it.
