ERR:Memory TI 83plus.fr

Question

Hello, my TI 83plus.fr is restricting access to my programs by displaying ERR:Memory !! I can't read anything I've entered into my calculator!! Help me, I'm in serious trouble! Thanks in advance!

Well, it’s not really a big deal: it’s just that your calculator has no more memory
check if your matrices are empty
then check your memory (click on 2nd, then +, then 2)
if your RAM is full (there are only a few bytes left, well you can always put your files in ARC (archives) those in ARC won't be usable but those you left in RAM can be used. When you want to use your files in ARC, you just have to move them back to RAM and put others in ARC
then you'll tell me that it's all well and good, but how do we transfer a file from RAM to archive and vice versa: nothing easier, you do 2nd then + then 2 then click on 1 and here is the list of everything on your calculator, you click on enter, a star will appear or disappear, it’s that star that tells you whether your program is in the archive or not
finally if your ARC is also full (which always happens to me) you will have to leave some programs on your PC to free up your memory (some sites will offer to expand your memory, in most cases it’s... sketchy)
PS: each program requires a minimal number of bytes to function: it's up to you to see how many you will leave it ;)
if you have a problem, don't hesitate :D I know TI's (especially the 83) very well

Thank you, this problem is resolved!!!!! :) Phew....
Now, another problem has arisen!
I can no longer type in lowercase, the second function of the alpha key is not responding anymore! I can only use uppercase as a result...
Do you have a solution!!????

To my knowledge, the TI-83+ does not allow writing in lowercase.
However, programs can enable this.
My hypothesis is that to clear your RAM, you sent to ARC the program that allowed it. You need to put it back in RAM (and possibly reinstall it).
If it doesn't work or if your calculator could do it from the moment of purchase ( :o ), let me know and I'll try to investigate the causes.

Are you sure you have a TI-83+ (blue) and that you bought it new, and that without any program it was writing in lowercase??
Just to know, do you have the classic TI-83+ or the French version??

Sorry, this is really weird, I've never experienced a problem like this and I've been learning to use the ti for 5 years. Last question, if I can't find it, I'm sorry, did you do a ram cleared 4 days ago?? Are you using Mirage OS (or equivalent)? What's the list of programs and applications you have??

Yeah, I deleted everything because I had a memory problem, I solved this problem but now I'm missing my lowercase letters!!
I’m using OS 1.19 Base version, which I downloaded and updated!
In my applications I have

-CsHeetFr
-CabriJr
-French
-period

In my programs, I have nothing!

OS 1.19 is the same as the base version of the TI-83+ French version (no need for an update)
This is literally impossible for me to conceive that thanks to its applications you can write in lowercase. The only solution I can give you is to download TiDoc, it's the best I know for text editing, even with lowercase, plus it allows you to send text from your PC to your calculator
Your calculator is still in French, it hasn't switched back to English??

tidoc is the best
that means your calculator was reset, which could explain why a program was deleted
What makes me say this is that I don't see how you emptied your RAM without removing programs
No, I know the app well, there are no files like that
PS: at worst, I'll check tomorrow; if I see that the lowercase option exists, I'll pass you the thing, otherwise (which is predictable), you only have tidoc left (my tidoc being in English, I need to take one in French)

Yes, let me know if you see that..... normally on Ti 83+.fr, when you're in prog, you press alpha twice, and then you can write in lowercase!! ^^

Argh, I'm going to go buy another one, it won't be a headache like this!! ^^

If you haven't thrown away your ti yet, I think I have the solution for you
I want to learn to program in asm, so I'm doing some browsing in the forums to get an idea, and here's what I found http://www.ftp83plus.net/frame.htm on the left for assembler for z80 (I think you know what that is) and then you scroll down and click on let's learn, and you will need to go up to tutorial 21 (it's boring, but hey) here’s how to solve your problem but using assembler, so you need a program on your pc to edit the program ... and you have to be careful, you can easily (by making a mistake) generate a ramcleared (you can save your programs on the pc just in case):D
