Samsung Laser MFP: Scanner locked?

Hello,
I’m using a SAMSUNG SCX-4521 F Monochrome Laser MFP (bought on 12/10/2006).
I use SmarThru4 for my digital work.
While some operations were in progress, suddenly the printer stuck.
The carriage did not return completely to its starting position; the job could not be completed.
In addition, the document had black streaks; the text was illegible on the preview screen.
I can’t use it anymore for 72 hours.
A message appears on the printer’s dashboard which also doubles as a copier: scanner locked.
I tried to troubleshoot myself by following the recommendations in the Manufacturer’s user and maintenance manual, which simply recommends unplugging the device and then plugging it back in, which I did several times… nothing else… impossible to unlock…. no result!
To tilt things in my favor, I also uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the CD provided by Samsung.
Additionally, I completed this setup with the Samsung Dr Printer diagnostic… you never know! No issues found.
Nevertheless, I still don’t get satisfactory results from the hardware.
I can no longer make copies either, obviously, only direct prints via the UC… in short, I’m stuck and blocked.
If this case is known and clearly identified by someone here, could he/she provide a relevant and compelling solution to unlock this situation?
