Hello,
Some people coming to my place use their GPS, but it always indicates a route through a private road instead of the normal road. What should I do or whom should I contact to have this GPS route anomaly corrected? Thank you for your help. See you soon

Hello,
I am in the same situation as you, but for me, it’s the opposite. I live on a private road, and the GPS sends vehicles into our road to access the neighborhood below, but there is no access through our road... We have been writing for two years to report this mistake to Tele Atlas Michelin, Mappy, etc., but it’s still the same;
The problem is that it’s a steep, narrow dirt road where you cannot turn around, especially for delivery vans. It’s a serious problem; even ambulances are sent there and get lost.
A van crashed into the neighbor's wall;
And on top of that, we are being attacked by drivers because they are lost. They are in violation of a no entry sign and dead-end road signs at the entrance of the road; they have no business being on this road;
The road is deteriorating because of them.
But the GPS tells them to go this way, so they are stubborn and listen to it despite the no entry signs... We tell them not to pass, and they insist.
We are like you, what can we do?
The town hall supposedly wrote to the GPS mapping suppliers...
But it’s still the same.
In which city do you live?
We might be victims of the same mapping error...-

Hello,
I live in Sarthe, near La Suze. For the moment, I have disputed this error with viamichelin, mappy, and Teleatlas (who have been responding for several months that my request is being processed, well of course!) without any response.
In my case, it is also a private path with a sign at the entrance "private path no entry" but people with GPS still go through. However, for me, it's occasional and not every day.
If one day you find a solution to this problem, please let me know, thank you (and vice versa).
Best regards

Hello,
I don't know what people do with their GPS, I don't have one.
But every day delivery vans or private cars come down the path, damage it, and insult us... whether they agreed to the GPS terms or acknowledged the traffic regulations doesn't make a difference to me!!!
The delivery drivers don't care about that promise; they listen to their GPS... they want to deliver.
Right now, starting at 5:30 PM, it gets dark, the path is not lit, and there's never any police or gendarmerie on this little path! Deliveries go up until 9 PM...
As a result, we, the residents (there are only two of us), are paying for the damages.
Who can help us resolve this problem? -
A priori, it is not a mapping problem, but rather an issue with attributes (data on the type of road, one-way streets, etc.) of the road. There are only two mappers in this market, Navateq and TéléAtlas; it is enough to contact them to report the information about this error.
