Hello,

personally, I use Google Maps to locate sites in my work. So I agree with Rey...

LATITUDE (North/South)
N 66°33.122' --> 66+33.122/60 = +66.552033 (+ for North and - for South)

LONGITUDE (West/East)
EO 15°19.224' --> 15+19.224/60 = +15.3204 (+ for East and - for West)

in the Google Maps search bar, instead of a city, just enter the coordinates (separated by a comma):
66.552033,15.3204

and there you go

In Google Maps, in the top left index "get directions", write for example:

43.292976 5.253973 (separation of longitude/latitude by just a space)

for N 43°29' 29.76" and E 5°25' 39.73"

00°00.000 is not the same as 00°00.00' or 00°00'00""; to obtain GPS coordinates on Google Earth, it is sometimes necessary to convert coordinates from one format to another (there are websites for that).
43.292976 5.253973 is not the same position as 43°29' 29 76" and E 5°25' 39 73"!!!

I'm sorry, but I don't have a "go to" option in the top left corner of Google Maps. There's just the place to enter the location and/or address. If I enter geographic coordinates there, the response is inconsistent, or even invalid (as is the case with your example "43.292976 5.253973").

Did I miss something?

Are you suggesting that 43.292976 5.253973 would correspond to decimal numbers and not to geographical data in degrees, minutes, seconds? Indeed, I hadn't thought of that, and if that is the case, I would be interested to know the site mentioned that would allow converting decimal coordinates back to geographical coordinates.

I came across your message late. I don't know if anyone has explained it to you since then, but I remind you that you just need to convert decimal degrees to sexagesimal. I am a sailor; it’s part of my job.
So, for 43.292976°, you keep 43, which will be the degrees, and you need to multiply the decimals by 60.
Ex: 0.292976 x 60 = 17.57856. The number before the decimal corresponds to the minutes, which is 43° 17'
You need to multiply the decimals again to find the seconds, 0.57856 x 60 = 34.7136
You have, therefore, 43° 17' 34'' = 43.292976°
And 5.253973° = 5° 15' 14''

Thank you, indeed a very interesting link
(but in the sense of "data to address", it does not accept "geographical" data and only works if one knows the "hexadecimal" data).

That being said, a link a little higher pointing to a geo/hex conversion software,
with all of these links, we now have everything we need to,
- either find the coordinates (in geo or hex) of a place,
- or find a place from its coordinates (in geo or hex)!
