Problem with canon eos 400 that won't turn on anymore

Hello,
We bought a Canon EOS 400D in July 2008.
It worked perfectly, but this weekend, while taking pictures for our daughter's birthday, it wouldn't turn on... no green light when switching on.
We charged the battery, nothing more.
We changed the lens. NOTHING.
We replaced the button cell (memory battery) next to the battery: NOTHING.
Has anyone ever had this problem?? And if so, what is the solution??? Before we call customer service.

Hello, I had the same problem: battery charged but the device won't turn on, it's a power issue, I think it's a battery/device connection problem.
My advice, if the device is no longer under warranty as it was in my case, get it repaired at an independent photographer because Fnac is very expensive!
