Hello,
I have a problem with my DSI, it won't turn on.
I plug the DSI in to charge, and the orange light blinks; when I press "power", a blue light appears for a tenth of a second, and the orange light disappears.
I've left it to charge all night, but it doesn't change anything.
Could it be a small fuse problem?
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.13

Hello,
I just had the same issue when changing a touchscreen on a DSi XL.
The charging light was flashing and as soon as I pressed the power button everything went off.
From there, I checked the fuse "F1" located under the charging board and it was fine.
Then I checked the small connector from the board to the motherboard and I give you a thousand it came from there. Everything looked correct to me, but by directly soldering two small wires while respecting the polarity, it works like a charm...
Hoping to have helped you...
P.S: Before desoldering the connector from the board to the motherboard, first check fuse F1...

I see the blue light and the screen at the bottom lights up for a moment and then turns off immediately, it's dead. I don't understand the problem.
Hello, for your battery charging issue, you should check the fuse located under the power board, and if not, either change the fuse or the board completely, which is the simplest option when you don't know how to replace them.

Good luck.

I have the same problem!!!
I just changed the bottom LCD screen,
and since then, the orange power light is flashing and the console won't turn on.
What should I do?

I have the same problem. I created a post about it, and I'm getting ignored. But I know where it comes from... For me, the whole board for the battery is burnt out... No fuses are working, it won't turn on anymore, basically... The best thing for you is to test the fuses with a multimeter. Set it to Omega and place the two wires on either side of each fuse (for example, if there's an F1 written above one fuse on your board, you can identify the other fuses by checking if they look like fuse F1). If it beeps, it's good; if not, it's burnt. I advise you to buy a complete board if the problem is from there... But I also wanted to ask two questions... First, I would like to know where the burnt board comes from because I don't want to fry my DSI again after replacing the board, you see... And then, I RIPPED the casing of an old DS Lite a bit like a brute to recover the motherboard to put it in another casing (I don't know the exact name in French), but I accidentally snipped a little too much, and it needs to be resoldered in one spot (it's tiny, but it prevents the bottom screen from working :')). Do you have any tutorials for resoldering a printed circuit board? I can't find any (PS: don't pick anything too complicated, I'm only 14, so it’s my dad who should do the soldering, and he's a complete newbie at computers x)).
Hello
It must be the battery because you say the light turns on and off. There's a lack of energy, but since it's not charging anymore.
If it's been a long time that you've been experiencing this, it's the battery.
Best regards

Hello everyone
so for me, no lights come on and it doesn't start at all.
only the charging light comes on when it is charging.
if someone could help me.
I've been told about a fuse?
thank you

I had the same problem... there's another fuse on the power board under the battery that was blown...
I fixed it by bridging it temporarily...
everything works perfectly
if that can help
kisses to everyone

I have exactly the same problem, I bought a new charger.
It didn't help at all.
I'm probably going to open it up to check the fuses.

Hello
I had the same problem after changing the LCD screen of my DSi XL.
It was due to a solder joint that had come loose; I took it to a repairman and it cost me 20 euros.

Il y a 1 heure, ma DS fonctionnait, mais après, quand elle s'est déchargée, je l'ai chargée et puis je l'ai rallumée, mais elle ne s'allume pas. Je ne sais pas pourquoi.
Good evening, I have the same issue after changing the lower screen of the DSi XL
Did you get a response to this problem???
