363 HP Cartridge Reload Auto-Reset Chip

Hello,

I bought a reset chip from Encre Phoenix for the black cartridge 363 for HP printer c7280.
My problem is that the printer no longer recognizes the cartridge, an error message appears: "missing or damaged cartridge".
What should I do?

Is there another refilling solution for these cartridges?

Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

Indeed, the tank solution is interesting for those who have intensive use, but refilling the 363 is extremely easy.

I use the original holes for filling, I push the syringe into one of the two rubber flaps, so there’s no drilling to do, and no holes to fill...

The cost price is divided by 50, Phoenix sells 250 mL for €11.10, that’s the price of an HP cartridge!

On the other hand, I noticed that if you refill a 363 before it’s empty, the gauge takes this refill into account!

All this on a Photosmart C6280....

Hello,
I just received my ink from Herman to refill my 363 cartridges for my HP Photosmart C7280 printer.
But I can't manage to refill my cartridges. I don't understand why. I read the instructions but the ink won't go into the cartridge.
For the yellow color, I pushed into the square hole and there's only one like that. Does anyone manage to refill these famous 363 cartridges?
Thank you very much in advance...

Hello jcda81,

I believe that the tank solution is interesting from a normal use of the printer. It doesn't need to be intensive. First of all, because right from the installation, the savings made are huge and even when I stop printing for a week, I don't have any issues with drying or clogging of the nozzles.

It avoids having to refill the cartridges every other day and using syringes. On the other hand, for those who continue to refill, keeping the ink bottles in the fridge is not a bad idea.

Have a great day!

Finally, I found out why it wasn't working. I wasn't putting the syringe in the right hole. In the right hole, there's rubber.
I'm really happy with the refill system.
I don't think it needs to consume a lot of ink to use this system. But then again, I've only been using it since yesterday. In any case, I'm talking about it to people around me because I'm already convinced.

Despite my bad experience, I prefer to refill my cartridges rather than have external reservoirs. Because I don’t have much space in my office. Otherwise, the system is very interesting. It's even very tempting.

However, I don’t need auto-reset cartridges with my printer. The HP Photosmart C7280.

The second time I filled a cartridge, I got ink all over the room. I didn’t take into account the pressure resistance of the syringe. I won't tell you the state of the room or my documents. Fortunately, this winter black is in fashion. I was completely dressed in black. So, I didn’t stain my clothes. I easily cleaned the walls, the floor...
In fact, I hadn’t pushed the syringe deep enough into the cartridge.
Now, to refill my cartridges, I put on a worn bath towel. That way, if it splatters. And I go into the bathroom.
Other than that, I am very happy with the system.
It's very economical and very eco-friendly.

Hello everyone,
method for easy and quick filling of HP 363 cartridges:

- push a syringe needle (barely inserted) into the top hole to release air during ink injection,
- inject ink with the syringe through the bottom hole.

However, even with the auto-reset chips installed on all cartridges, the indicated level remains low on some cartridges after they have been filled (about 6 ml). Do your ink level readings work correctly with the auto-reset chips? Does the level rise automatically after refilling?

In fact, we cannot mix original HP cartridges and refillable cartridges because the chips are not the same.
The refillable cartridges have an auto-reset feature that means the cartridge is never marked as empty and can therefore be reused "for life."
Super economical!!! And works perfectly

Hello,

I have a C6280 printer, and I installed a chip from Phoenix on the black cartridge; the color cartridges are original HP ones, with their original chips.

It works, so it is not necessary to only have Phoenix chips, contrary to what was said earlier...

Hello,
Does anyone know a physical store address in the northern region, around Valenciennes, Douai, or Cambrai, where we can go and that sells cartridges or adhesive auto-reset chips specifically for HP 363 cartridges?

Thank you.

Hello, I have a complete kit of rechargeable HP363 cartridges (six colors) and the corresponding ink bottles: 6X 60 ml (new). Reason for selling: changing printer.
I am in Valenciennes.

Hello,
I would like to know how the external power supply is positioned. Do you have a photo of your printer with the system in place?

Thank you.

I confirm. Some chip models (not all) are complementary, and the entire set needs to be replaced for it to work.

All cartridges must have auto-reset chips. At my place, it only works like that.

Hello,

Personally, I recommend refilling original cartridges with ink from Ink Phoenix, but be careful not to wait until the cartridge is completely empty, so I suggest recharging them once every two months depending on the number of pages printed.

The cartridges bought on eBay from China are worthless; they're scams. I bought a batch and some of them don't work.

Thank you.

Hi
Cartridges bought in England...
It's not recognized and the HP363 are not rechargeable? Even if they're not empty yet!
In any case, thanks for the reply.
So, no solution to tell the printer RESET cartridge??
See you later
If I find a solution, I'll send it to you.

Phoenix ink is the worst there is; even HP is less bad than Canon ink, it's a nightmare as soon as you use photo paper.

I can't do anything to help you, but I have a Canon and a Brother, and I don't have this problem; the intravenous refills work perfectly. That's why I would never buy an HP.

Actually, it was "just silly."
I had to change ALL the cartridges and not just one.

It works super well and I have ink for 10 years!

Thanks everyone

Hello,

The cartridges seem to have an expiration date (written on the cartridge), that might be the reason why you had to change them all.

But I didn't quite understand, did you refill or change your cartridges?

Thank you

Hello, I have the same issue with my yellow cartridge, which means I changed it and put the chip from the old cartridge on it, but it doesn't work. "Missing or damaged cartridges."
What should I do to resolve this issue, please? Thank you.

Hello
I always had an ink failure message and I had to do total resets of the printer to print a few pages. One day, I came across a website and their forums where it explained the importance of septic ink in front of words that start with a vowel. I placed an order with them and for over six months now, no more issues.
With refillable cartridges, it's the best.

Hello,

What is a Phoenix chip? Where can we find documentation?
For my part, it's the only way to make the C7280 work. Otherwise, we get the message:
"Damaged or missing cartridge."
I tried again after it worked by only changing one original 363 cartridge, and it still doesn't work!
Thank you for your input.

Hello
I bought an external ink cartridge system for an HP Photosmart 3310, the auto-reset system is causing issues, the printer is stuck displaying the message (the following ink cartridges are missing or damaged) and this is happening for all 6 cartridges, how can I fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

You need to check that the cartridges are properly installed and that the chips are firmly attached to the cartridges.
Sometimes the tubes put pressure on the cartridges, and the chip contact doesn't work correctly. By the way, I removed my system to install rechargeable cartridges; it's much simpler.

And if it still doesn't work, it means your chips are not good, and it's best to contact your seller.
I know a site that sells systems like yours; you might want to ask them. They really helped me out, and recently I bought ink from them; the photo quality is top-notch. ***************

P.S. I think I didn't include the link in the previous message.

Who did you buy your external ink system from? Contact your seller and see what they can do. If you bought it from the same place I did, which uses the same cartridges as yours, from Inkfinit, it might be those particular chips that are causing issues because mine works perfectly. I haven't had any error messages so far, and the system has already pumped quite a few times.
Plus, if you have all 6 cartridges that are malfunctioning, that's curious.

Good luck anyway!

Your problem comes from the useless cartridges. I've already had issues with Phoenix, and they never respond, not to mention refunding! I will NEVER buy from them again.

I recommended the Inkfinit to two friends for the 363, and they are happy with both the product and the service. So much so that I’m going to buy a second-hand one and get rid of my Epson, which is just giving me problems. The other option is an Epson PX700 with a CISS, but that turns out to be more expensive and I can't find reliable information.

Hi,

for my part, I haven't had any problems with my refills using syringes except for the day when the date on the cartridge expired. I then ordered a sticker chip and since then I haven't changed cartridges. It works well, and comparing it with the test print I did when I purchased my printer, the colors have remained the same.
I have an HP Photosmart 8250, so cartridge no. 363, and I buy from Encre Phoenix, which is not generic ink and they guarantee their products against cartridge degradation and clogging.

It cost me, including shipping, less than €30 for 5 refills + the unlimited chip, which is cheaper later on compared to €40 excluding shipping for a single cartridge set...

I've stopped changing my cartridges, I'm using patches! :)

Hello,
For my part, as a light consumer, I don't really see the point in going through cartridge refills. It's sometimes tedious (bad experience with refilling an Epson) and not always worthwhile.
I buy my two packs of 6 high-capacity cartridges for €70 including shipping, which is €35 per pack.
I keep my ink levels just like the cartridges from the brand.
The site is

No answer to your problem, but check out this site where there are other compatible ink cartridge kits available for all printer brands and many references.

http://www.misterprint.fr/shopping

But if you manage to get a response to your auto-reset chip issues, I would like to know about it.

Thanks in advance..

PS: I haven't ordered from misterprint yet because I'm waiting to see if there is really a solution to the auto-reset chip issue that isn't working...

See you!

I ordered from Misterprint; the chips are self-programmable, so there's no problem, everything is done automatically.

Well, with Epson cartridges, you really have to struggle to refill them... You have to open them in two, then drill two holes in the right place, tape one up with scotch, and close the lid again to finally reprogram them.
A bit long and tedious for a noob...

There are CISS kits (continuous ink supply) with external tanks that are pretty good. You just have to be careful when you install them because the tubes need to go through a specific spot.
They cost between 30 and 40€ including shipping, and I think for Epson, it's the simplest option. When I received the package, there was already ink included, so it's a nice saving.
http://encre-phoenix.com/Encre-Permanence-Recharge-Epson.html

Finally, that's my point of view.

I recently bought a continuous ink supply system (CISS) for an EPSON from encre-phoenix... The package arrived, everything was in perfect condition but when I tried to install the cartridges (type T0711) in the printer, to my surprise, the pink and yellow cartridges were swapped on the system... Has anyone else encountered this same problem? Do you have a solution? Thank you in advance...

the same thing on another forum, apparently there are 3 sets of 4 colors with epson, and the importers who buy generic ciss from China don't always know what they're selling :(

The only ones who seem to manufacture themselves in France are inkfinit (Well, according to their website) It looks different and serious, and I'm tempted. Does anyone have one of their systems on an epson px700?

Especially with Phoenix ink, the ink quality is poor. Try it out with glossy photo paper from various brands (generic, Agfa, Canon, HP) and try printing in grayscale or color; you'll get a nice magenta/sepia photo.
