Hello everyone, due to the importance of this subject, I spent the whole night trying to set a password on my CD-ROM and I succeeded. It was with difficulty that I finally got the software SecureBurn, but you must not forget your password. To open your CD-ROM, this last one will ask you for the password.
Hello,
The question has already been addressed! I reiterate the same answer!
Why bother protecting CDs and DVDs when so many are going out of their way to unprotect them?! It's a relentless race for innovation with the counter-war!
The best thing is not to distribute at all!!!
Toco y se gausos !!!

Hello
yes I agree with you but I don't want to sell them or make a profit, I just want to protect the data on the CD or DVD (because there's always one in my family who rummages through my CDs or DVDs... you understand... so that's it
So if you have a solution, please let me know because that would be great

Hello everyone,
Does my solution of the zip or rar file provided in the first response of this post not work for you?
It allows for a password before accessing the data, but regarding security, the passwords for WinRAR (or WinZip) aren't the best, but if it's just to keep mom, dad, and the brother from looking at the data, it should be enough.
Keep me posted ++

Well, here it is, I believe it's possible to close your CD with a password by following these steps:
1- Choose the folders and files you want to burn and put them into a single folder.
2- Change the extension of this "unique" folder to Bin or Iso using Winiso.
3- You will need a software that you can easily find, it is Secure burn, with which you will burn your folder and set a password.
In practice, I don't know if it will work or not, good luck everyone. Thank you.

Bonjour, comment faire pour protéger un CD ou DVD par un mot de passe mais avec un Mac ? Quel logiciel peut-on utiliser compatible avec Mac OS X ? Merci d'avance.
Hi,
As far as I know you can't, but if you really want to protect your data, you could for example create a zip (or rar) file and give it a password. Then you burn your file and there you go :)
Wait to see if someone has another solution.
Good luck

It is possible to protect your files with a password and not a CD. And the solution is what fada09 required.

Go to this address, the software SecureBurne that will allow you to encrypt data on CD or DVD is located on an Asian site unless you understand Chinese, I'll give you the direct link:

It's simple: when you open the log, you have File Browser noted on the top left. You look for your data in your folder and drag it to the right in the CD layout pane, and then you check => SecureBurn CD and check Write
SecureCD to CD as well. Then click on record, and you directly burn data to CD with a password; otherwise, click on CD Image and there you will find the ISO file to burn, and it will ask you to set a password. That's it.

There is another free and easy solution, which is to use AxCrypt. Here’s what you need to do:
1- Download and install AxCrypt https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/4397-axcrypt/
2- Organize what you want to burn
3- Right-click on the file or folder you want to burn
4- In the list, hover over "AxCrypt" and then click on "Encrypt"
5- In the window, type your password and retype it for confirmation
6- Click "OK"
7- Start burning the encrypted file or folder (it will have the extension .axx)
8- On the burned CD or DVD, you will see your files with the .axx extension. Click on them, and the "AxCrypt" program will ask you for the password
Note: AxCrypt must be installed on the computer for you to read your encrypted CDs or DVDs
This is what I personally do :)

The download link isn't working, so I found this page: each writing (if we can call it that!!!) represents a link to download secureburn: http://www.skycn.com/404.html#downUrlMap
