Hello everyone,

I just built a PC and unfortunately my drive is not compatible (it's an old one)

With my motherboard, I got an installation CD but I can't use it right now since I don't have a drive.

So my question is:

Can I copy this CD to a USB stick through my laptop?
And if so, how do I proceed so that when I insert this USB stick into my new computer, I can install the drivers?

Thank you very much.
Best regards

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 46.0.2486.0

Hello.
Normally, you just need to copy and paste the files from the disk to put them on the USB stick.

yes, but it doesn't launch automatically!

What does that mean?

When you insert the CD-ROM, it automatically starts, performs its searches, and installs the updates.

If I copy/paste the files onto a USB drive, when I plug it into the PC, the program won't start on its own, will it?

when the CD-ROM is inserted, it automatically starts

Is Windows open at that moment?

So a copy and paste should work.

Thank you, it worked,
copied to the USB drive and then launched the .exe file.
