In the work environment, you point to the drive and right-click and Open or Explore.
Then you select all the folders, you should have at least 4 named EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT, and VCD. The video file in .DAT is located in MPEGAV.
Then right-click and copy or press Ctrl + C --> destination folder then paste or press Ctrl + V. In principle, this should work, that's how I did it, anyway ;)

See you later

Hello nathm,

To save your VCD to your computer, a simple copy and paste should suffice. The video file is located in the MPEGAV folder and has a name like AVSEQ01.DAT approximately.

You can try taking screenshots from video players, like VLC or Media Player Classic for your photos, but other players or software may also offer this feature.

With VLC: Video --> Capture Screen. The photo will go into the My Documents folder --> My Pictures. To change the image format, which is PNG by default, go to Settings --> Preferences --> Video, where you can choose between PNG or JPG.

With MPC: File --> Save Image. You choose the location to save the photo as well as its format BMP or JPG.

Best regards

Thank you again, but I'm not able to do it
I put the CD in the drive, I went to My Computer, I right-clicked and opened it, and "files currently on the CD" opened
I have two folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS
if I click explore, I see the same thing
I tried right-clicking and then copy-pasting
pasting tells me Windows does not support this format of CD-R
this CD may be protected?
or am I just not doing it right?
thank you for taking a little more time to respond

So, what you have is not a VCD but a DVD-Video which has the structure you see. It's described in more depth here:
- https://www.figer.com/Publications/dvd.htm#structDVD

Weird to have that on a CD??? Are you sure it's a CD and not a DVD?

To extract this type of format, you can do it as I said, but it's better to use extraction software like DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, or even DVDFab HD Decrypter.
The technique is described in one or more of the tutorials on this site: http://www.tutoriels-animes.com/traitement-video.html
I think it's in the first ones. But it must be on a DVD as the name DVD-Video indicates...
