Hello,

Your SMTP server is misconfigured in Outlook. Either the username and password are incorrect, or you are not using the SMTP server linked to your ISP, or the configuration has changed.

Here are the SMTP servers of various providers https://support.safebrands.com/les-serveurs-de-messagerie-des-principaux-fai/

How to modify in Outlook https://www.malekal.com/configurer-serveur-smtp-pop3-outlook/

Best regards.

Hello BenDrop

Thank you for your response, but I am set up correctly, could it be the DNS?

Sincerely

Hi

But what else?

Which Outlook?

Which ISP?

Which email provider (the part after the @)?

SMTP config: what server? what port? what authentication? what security?

Example for Orange with Thunderbird

Hello,

have you re-entered your username and password? Have you tried using port 587 instead of 465 or vice versa?

Best regards.

Hello,

This could be due to the strengthening of Google’s security, which now requires a separate application password (instead of the account password) for the SMTP server for any third-party application.

So it all depends on the application you are using to send your emails.

Hello

And does it work on Zimbra?

I guess your email provider is Free, given the history.

The settings that work with Thunderbird:

smtp.free.fr, port 465, SSL/TLS, regular password

imap.free.fr, port 993, SSL/TLS, regular password

Hello,

thank you all for your quick replies!

I'm still stuck with my problem, I can't find where to make the indicated settings in Google.

I have a Surface Pro.

So I have Windows 10.

Microsoft 365

I'm with Free but Outlook is my email service, however, Zimbra works fine, as does Gmail.

What do you think I should do? The recommended settings are not working for now.

According to your advice, is there or can we find a tutorial for the settings on Google?

In any case, I sincerely thank you, I don't know what else to do. Have a good evening.

Best regards to you all.

I don't know what to do anymore

Answer precisely all the questions asked to help you

I don't see where to make the indicated settings on Google.

In that case, how can you say it's properly configured?

The recommended settings are not working for now

They work for me and certainly for many others

I am still stuck with my problem, I can’t find on Google where to go to make the indicated settings

Google (Chrome) is a browser and has no link with Microsoft Outlook

Can you try to post an anonymized screenshot (Windows screenshot tool) of the settings part

I can definitely take screenshots for you, but I can't seem to integrate them into my response. I managed to do it once, but the software is blocking me.

Good evening Redbart

A little update on my situation

First of all, I want to thank you for the link on YouTube, it's great! But it still doesn't work, I still have the same error.

Server error: '554 5.7.1 <unknown[78.246.254.81]:61632>: Client host rejected: Access

I called Free, but they don't support Outlook and assured me that nothing was blocked on the server.

It's been 2 months that Microsoft has been trying to impose the web version on me, with a questionnaire to understand my refusal.

Having no solution, I reopened this version of Outlook, and guess what, everything works: all my accounts, printer, I didn't set anything up.

I still want to revert to the old version, what should I do?

I don't know if it matters, but I am connected with a TP Link M7350 4G key with a Free SIM card, could the problem come from that?

In the meantime, have a good evening

Best regards

Erik Bent
