Canon TS8350 Error 5B00
Solved/ClosedErickPerpi -
Hello,
I have a Canon TS8350 with "Error 5B00 - contact Service Center."
While browsing the internet, I found out how to enter Service Mode for Canon models in the TS8300 series with a touchscreen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBjDhYcKw0w
It works with the TS8350; the video is a bit fast, but here’s the sequence:
- Press the top left of the screen
- Press and hold the On button for a few seconds until you see a screen like in the video with a red stop button in the top right
- Keep holding the On button, remove your finger from the top left of the screen, and press stop four times, then press it a fifth time and remove your finger from On at the same time you press stop for the fifth time, and you should see a dim screen with nothing displayed, which is the Service Mode
jmarion3 posted links to the Canon Reset software, thanks to him, it shows that it exists and you need to find the right one for your printer.
The Service Tool V3400 does not work with this printer: it runs but does not respond...
The V5103 cannot identify my TS8350 and gives an error 002, indicating that the printer is not compatible or another issue. For info: https://www.geeek.org/canon-service-tool-b200-244/
If anyone has had this problem and has a solution, thank you in advance
Thank you

Error 5B00 is often related to a full used ink pad. The Service Tool software can help you reset this error; however, it seems you've had difficulties with certain versions. You might try Service Tool V4720, which is compatible with more Canon printer models and might work with the TS8350. You can usually find it online on reliable websites. Finally, if the reset doesn't work, I advise you to contact Canon's customer service. They can guide you through the error resolution process and may also direct you to an authorized Canon service center if repair is necessary.
Here's what I have that works:
Error 5B00

While holding down the power button, press the stop button 5 times.
Wait for the green light to stop flashing.
Press the stop button 5 times.
Then press the power button.

It's OK!
