Hello,
My printer is no longer printing and is also not scanning anymore.
The error message I have identified is 5B00, which seems to be known, but I haven't been able to find the specific fix for my Canon Pixma MG2550.
Does anyone have the solution?
Thank you in advance.

Hello

I found a link where all the known issues for this printer are listed.
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/W/MG2500%20series/FR/UG/ug_trouble0300.html

For your error (5b00), there are no solutions listed.
Apparently, you need to contact them.
On this link, there is a number
https://www.canon.fr/support/consumer_products/contact_support/

But I think you can try uninstalling the printer first.
Restart the computer and reinstall the printer.
Make sure the cartridges are properly installed and that there is no paper jam.

Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately, after checking the recommended steps, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, the problem is still there.
In the absence of an "internet" solution, I am considering purchasing a new printer given the prices of a new printer compared to the cost of a repair at Canon.

It's true that sometimes it's cheaper to buy a new printer rather than getting it repaired.

See you!
