Hello, I have a problem with my phone, I have a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G and for more than 2 months the fingerprint feature has disappeared. When I go to the security menu, I see that the fingerprint slot is no longer there; it has vanished from my phone. I just updated to MIUI 13 BUT NOTHING WORKS! I have tried multiple times to reset my phone to factory settings, but it doesn't change anything. I tried going to a repair shop but they don’t know either, and when I call the XIAOMI service, they say they don’t know either. I wanted to know if this has happened to any of you and if you managed to fix the problem, how did you do it? Because I found the fingerprint option super convenient. Thank you and have a good day.

    The bug is being fixed

    About two months ago, users in Spain and around the world began to notice that the fingerprint sensor was not functioning as well as we would have liked. As a result, Xiaomi decided to remove the option from the system and prevent its use because no means of correcting the fingerprint in MIUI resolved the issue. This measure was taken to enhance security. If we lost the smartphone with the faults of the fingerprint sensor, we could leave access available with other fingerprints that were not ours.

      For the moment, yes, I no longer need to look for anything since it has clarified the situation; I don't need to search for the repair if it's just that I overlooked who decided to remove that to avoid a general problem haha thanks a lot!
