Thomson Neo “14.1” PC Startup Issue

Question

Hello,

I bought a Thomson Neo “14.1” laptop yesterday. I chose this purchase due to its low price, as I'm only looking for very basic features. However, when I try to start the computer for the first time, it gets stuck already! After entering my Microsoft email and password, the laptop prompts me to “click to set up a PIN,” and then nothing happens! The laptop has been showing “please wait” in a loop since yesterday. I understand that software installation can take some time, but for it to take an entire day is excessive!
Do you have a solution to this problem?

Hello, I bought it yesterday and I have exactly the same issue... after validating the PIN code request, it just keeps spinning and... nothing. What was your solution? Franck

Thanks to a forum, I found the problem with my laptop.
In my case, it was the internal 3V CR2032 battery that needed to be replaced (I didn't even know there was one!!)
On my TOSHIBA QOSMIO, it is very easily accessible, but that is not true for all brands.
