Brother displays "error" - printing impossible

Hello,

Newly installed Brother DCP-J525W printer. Wifi connection recognized, but when I try to print, I get an "Error" message.
On the PC - Windows 10 - In "printers and devices", it says "Unknown Device".

    is your printer properly connected to your router's wifi?
    let's assume yes since you note: Wifi connection recognized

    so go to the control panel, the real one, not the Windows 10 one:
    press Windows + r and type: control
    in the window that opens go to: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
    then right-click on your printer and "Remove device," keep the driver if it asks you to delete it too.
    then click on the "Add a printer" tab, it will look for it and offer it as an option in the list; if it doesn't see anything, it means it's not connected to the network, check the connection step again, using WPS if your router allows it, which will save you from having to type the wifi key, and do this from your printer's screen, in the network settings.
