Brother printer not printing color anymore

Hello,

I own a Brother DCP-353C printer, and we have a serious problem: It no longer prints colors; initially, it only printed black and blue, and now it only prints black.

We've tried everything: changing the cartridges, performing cleanings, and even checking for clogs in the tubes with alcohol injection (on the advice of someone), but nothing works, it keeps printing in black! We even took it apart to check everything. In any case, there are no clogs.

We've had it for 5 years... but now, nothing—not even a hint of color, just pure black. We’re starting to believe that this cursed printer has a "chip" that prevents it from doing its job and pushes us to buy a new one.

Thank you for shedding some light on the subject....

I have a somewhat similar problem....

I've had this Brother all-in-one printer for a few years, but since I had a little Canon printer that was still (and always) working well, I only used the Brother for scanning and sending faxes...

But now the little Canon doesn't work with my new computer (there's no driver for the new operating system), so I'm trying to print with my Brother. But it doesn't work...

I just bought 4 new cartridges (about $100) and I installed them correctly (I think) in the Brother, but the printer tells me that the ink volume is empty. And when I try to print, the machine "works" (I can hear it operating) but I only get blank pages.

I don't understand why, but it seems that the ink is not being injected into the machine for some xyz reason...

If I can't solve this problem, it will be the end of Brother printers for me... :(
