Hello, I’m looking for a way to prevent Chrome or Google from remembering the usernames I use on websites.
I’m talking about session cookies. I’ve disabled “third-party cookies,” I paid attention to a site, I log in, I leave, I come back and I’m still logged in.
Which sub-submenu in Chrome or Google should I use to avoid this?
The goal is to be able to log in to my account on the site (id/pass) but if I quit and return, it shouldn’t remember me.

A simple solution is to use private browsing: sessions are lost after closing the window.

You mix genres.
If you want not to save credentials for a site when you log in but enter them manually each time, simply disable this saving:

Once you are logged in, some sites have a button like "stay signed in" that you are not required to check; if after identification you close without logging out of the site, re-login will be automatic as long as it has not been invalidated after a certain time but will not occur if it requires Cookies that have been deleted.
Cookies do not have a direct role in authentication; they allow the site, even after proper logout and login, to remember what you do there, to analyze data and/or to "suggest" content accordingly...

So I’m rephrasing, because I have a password manager and I deleted everything from Google.
When I log in to a site with my manager, I leave the page, and when I come back I’m still logged in. I just want not to be logged in automatically.
I have the impression that this is tied to the site’s internal settings that automatically sign me back in; some don’t offer “remember me” and do it on their own even though I don’t want it to.

As I said, you are necessarily reconnected for a while if you have not logged out of your account on the site before closing it.

Assuming I use a script manager on which I only grant temporary permissions to the site in question and without which it would not be possible to log in, indirectly if I close the site without logging out I will be logged out as soon as these temporary permissions expire (the delay is fairly short, I don't know the exact time).hello, I use this software Emjysoft Cleaner v2026, it is free and can delete all cookies, history, and others if desired.
