Amazon account locked due to suspicious activity

I placed an order on Amazon, which was approved, and the next day I found this email:
Dear customer,
A problem occurred while confirming your payment information. To avoid any improper use of your payment card, we have put your orders on hold and locked your account. You will not be able to place orders until we have verified your information.
To resolve this issue, we need to verify a recent statement from your VISA ending in . To upload your statement to our secure document portal, please log into your account and follow the instructions.
The following information must be clearly visible on the statement:

We will verify your statement and respond within 24 hours. To protect your information, we limit access to your statement to a team of account specialists. We ask that you do not open a new account, as any new order you place could be delayed.

I prepared the document and when I tried to send it, obviously my account being locked, I can no longer log in. There is no other information on the login page. If I try to respond to the email, it gives me an error message.
I called customer service every day for the last 3 days, each time I am told that I will get a response within a few hours (but it seems quite obvious that the operators have no idea what to do), I also sent an email every day from their site (but of course you can't attach files), I even tried to harass them on Twitter but all they can say is to call customer service or send the email to which I have already sent 3 times...
The only other email I received was today, four days after placing the order, telling me that they still haven't received my statement!!! I don't know what to do anymore!
I even tried to send it by fax because I saw on forums that before they asked for it by fax, but on Free's fax service it says "unable to establish communication".
In short, I'm desperate, I don't know what to do!
If anyone has any idea?
