Hello, I recently had a Windows update, so I performed it, but since then I can't use my computer normally. Explorer.exe starts and crashes, and I can't restart it. There's a black screen with only a window titled "Custom Settings (Not responding)" open, my mouse still works and I can open the task manager, but I can't do anything else that I know of. If anyone has had this problem or has an idea on how to fix it, I'm open to suggestions. Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 60.0.3112.113

I haven't installed anything special at all; it was a Windows update to be launched when shutting down or restarting the device. However, I can't use Windows + R; I can only run programs through the Task Manager. Is it possible to do it another way with the means I have?

So run rstrui.exe to see if you have any restore points.

It doesn't launch anything for me, does it mean I don't have any or is it a bug?
Hello,
What did you install before you started having all these problems?
Try performing a Windows system restore to revert to an earlier restore point (if available) in order to get a functional Windows back.
=> how to restore Windows and System Restore
=> https://www.commentcamarche.net/informatique/windows/147-restaurer-windows-avec-les-points-de-restauration/
To do this:
On your keyboard, press the Windows key + R
type rstrui.exe and OK.
Follow the instructions.

Good for I don't know what reason, after about an hour of waiting and looking for a solution my computer is working normally again. I got this error message: https://www.noelshack.com/2017-37-4-1505414816-ok.png
Do you have any idea where that might come from? Anyway, thank you anyway for your help :).

The installation of the update or a program used up all the resources.
In fact, the desktop was supposed to load, but very slowly, because of that.
WonderShare, for example, tends to do this.
To see what’s running:
Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained there ).
Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.
Three FRST reports will be generated:
Send these 3 reports to the site https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and in return, provide the 3 pjjoint links that lead to the reports here in a new response so that we can review them.

Don’t you have a DVD-Rom in the drive?

Here is the correction to be made with FRST. You can refer to this explanatory note with screenshots.
Open Notepad: Windows key + R,
In the "Run" field, type notepad and OK.
Copy/Paste the following into it:
Once the text is pasted into Notepad,
Menu "File" then "Save As",
On the left, go to the Desktop,
In the field below, file name put: fixlist.txt
Click on "Save", this will create fixlist.txt on the Desktop.
Restart FRST and click on the "Fix" button
A restart may be necessary (not mandatory)
A text file appears, copy/paste the content here in a new message.
Restart the computer.
