Automatic replies with IMAP account

Hello,

I would like to be able to send automatic replies to the emails I receive during my vacation. But apparently I am using an IMAP account that does not support the automatic reply feature of Outlook.
The other solution is to set a rule, but that only works if Outlook is open, which won't be the case.
I don't know anything about messaging protocols, but can I change a setting that would allow me to access the automatic reply feature?
I am using Outlook 2016.

It is done upstream, at the mail server level

My domain name is hosted by OVH.
Is it with them that I need to request the change? Do I need an SMTP server?

Outlook has no automatic reply functions unless you use an Exchange server, which is not your case.

This is not a matter of IMAP or POP.

As I told you, it happens upstream, before if you prefer.

You just need to look a bit at OVH.
