Asus X205TA - No more Wifi connection

Hello,

I have an Asus X205TA for a few months. It was working perfectly until yesterday, after an update.
It no longer detects any wifi networks and shows an error message:
The Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter is experiencing driver or hardware issues.

I've tried to roll back to the previous version, as suggested on other forums, but I can't find the commands to do so from my PC.

It's quite urgent, as I use this PC for my classes...

Thank you in advance,
Pauline

    Good evening,
    Maybe try installing the driver!
Windows 7 does not seem to be the original system installed on this PC, as specified in Configuration!
The driver provided for Windows 8.1 on the manufacturer's website is WLAN_Broadcom_Win81_32_VER5931034.zip, see if installing it resolves the issue.

Indeed, I hadn't noticed the mention of configuration, my PC runs on Windows 10 (the original configuration was Windows 8).

How can I install the driver?

      Thank you :)

It's probably Windows 8.1, not Windows 8 on the manufacturer's site, just like Windows 7 for that matter!
You click on the blue link in the previous response to download the file and then you install it.
You just corrected your response No. 2, the driver for Windows 10 is WLAN/WLAN_Broadcom_Win10_32_VER59310320.zip.

I'll give it a try, thank you very much!

Just to be sure, do I need to uninstall anything from my PC?

No, there is nothing to uninstall, just installing the driver is enough and in principle, if everything goes well, the wifi should work again.

It's not working at the moment...
Can I uninstall the old card without risking my PC and try installing the one from the link you sent me?

I don't have the same name for the first file, I have WLAN_Broadcom_Win10_32_VER59310320 (after that, it's probably just the version that changes.
      For the rest, it's similar.

Actually, do I need to get the file for Windows 2.1 and install that one?

Yes, but the file for Windows 8.1, Windows 2.1 is long outdated, if it ever existed!!! (I'm joking)
      It's normally this one, WLAN_Broadcom_Win81_32_VER5931034.zip
