What is the FreeDOS operating system? Solved

Hello, I am currently looking for a good laptop and in my research, I have narrowed it down to the Gaming series from MSI, more specifically to an Apache Pro.

the price is quite interesting, good specifications, ... In short, I would definitely go for it but one big question bothers me: the operating system!
I do not know anything about the FreeDOS system.

So here are my questions: what can you tell me about this system? your opinions? and is it possible to switch back to Windows easily?

Hello,

This is a free "Windows lite" text system provided by MSI, so you can install your own version of Windows.

You will need to acquire a separate Windows license (additional purchase) to install it on the computer.

All you need to do is insert the Windows DVD or USB drive and boot from it to install Windows on your system.

Hello

Freedos is a free version of DOS.

Basically, this means you will have to install an OS yourself, whether it's Linux, Windows, or something else.

FreeDOS is simply a DOS system like MS-DOS, IBM PC-DOS, or Novell DR-DOS used to be. So, it's an old system based on the command line.

Free-DOS is a free OS, which lowers the prices of the machines on which it is installed. However, it is understood that another system (Windows, Linux, BSD, or others) can be installed alongside or as a replacement, especially since the machine allows it without any problem.

Ok great, thanks for your response :) In that case, which version of Windows would you recommend for gaming? And the second question: will FreeDOS use up RAM if I install Windows?
