Hello No operating system (OS) installed. Don't panic, it's just a matter of price. 1 you put what you want. 2 you don't pay for an OS if you don't want to use it. If you want Windows, you almost always have to buy it in addition to the advertised price. (Some have a full Windows license that they can legally transfer without paying again on the new PC.) If you choose a free OS like many Linux distributions, you just prepare a DVD or a USB installation key by downloading a free tool to create the installation key and an ISO file of the chosen operating system on another functioning PC.

This is a machine provided without an OS, without "Operating System," meaning no operating system... more commonly, it doesn't have Windows or a Windows license.

So you will either need to install Linux or purchase a Windows license and install it separately.

No!
OS stands for operating system.

Linux is an operating system.
Windows is an operating system.

Now, who knows what you're going to do with this PC.

If you want to play games, forget about Linux.

If you could give us the link to the PC in question.

PS: And no, it's not difficult to install a system on a "NO OS" PC.
I managed it just fine the first time. :)

And if you're struggling, we'll help you.

PS: If you plan to install Windows 10, on some online sites, you can purchase a legal license for €10.

I'm far from being an expert in hardware, but MSI is an excellent choice.

Since my PC is an MSI, I'm not at all objective ^^
But since I have an MSI, I could probably help you install Win10.

By the way, "Without OS" is sometimes referred to as: FreeDOS
But it means the same thing.

My other colleagues can, if you'd like, guide you towards other cheaper and perhaps more performant PCs...

Just know that a desktop PC will always be more powerful than a laptop for gaming.

It's not especially difficult, no, you just need to buy a license and create a bootable USB drive with Windows 10 on it. There are guides available for that.

The USB key, on the other hand, is created from a computer.

There are 3 main families of common "operating systems": Windows, MacOS, Linux

Windows has various versions, among which Windows 7, Windows 8(.1), and Windows 10 are still current.

MacOS is the system that equips Macs

And Linux comprises a huge number of various distributions.

Given the price difference, it's better to buy the computer alone and the license separately. ;-)

They're the same, but the second one is more expensive... and the difference is greater than the price of a standalone license.
