Hello, I know this question has been asked several times on this site, but I can't find answers to my questions...
I've had a Windows 7 laptop for several years (4/5 years) and despite the antivirus, it's become very slow! I would like to restore it to its original state (I have already backed up the files I want to keep on a USB drive) and do this without a disc because I don't have any blank CDs. I have already pressed F8 on startup to get to the system recovery options, but they say that Toshiba HDD recovery is impossible.

Hello, why restore a computer when you can make it much (or at least moderately) faster?
Pc Decrapifier is a great little software that detects all your unused and/or unnecessary apps, and I'm not getting paid to promote it :) I just think this software is awesome:

Then:
1) Click on Analyze (the software is in English).
2) Three lists appear, the first is recommended, these are the software that are useless to you and can be safely removed. The second is questionable, these are programs that we think you can delete, be careful! If you don't know these programs, don't delete them as they may be essential for your computer. The third list is useless, these are all the programs installed on your computer.
3) Depending on your choices, check the software you wish to remove, then click on Remove Selected.

I don't think it's possible to restore your system without a blank CD or USB drive. However, if you're sure it's due to viruses, try these antiviruses one by one: 1) AdwCleaner, 2) Malwarebytes.

Yes, all viruses disappear and yes you can install Vista on 7 but I strongly advise against it, Windows Vista being an unstable system and probably the worst operating system from Microsoft, it would only make things worse. He is asking you for a second one because what you have is not an installation DVD but a factory reset DVD, and in fact, at least three are needed. That's why he is asking for the second one that apparently you haven't made.
Create the startup repair CD on another Windows 7 PC (32 or 64 bits depending on the faulty computer) to get your PC back to how it was before (if this restoration process hasn't destroyed Windows 7) and then to be able to perform the restoration using the recovery partition.
