Hello, I know this question has been asked several times on this site, but I can't find answers to my questions...
I've had a Windows 7 laptop for several years (4/5 years) and despite the antivirus, it's become very slow! I would like to restore it to its original state (I have already backed up the files I want to keep on a USB drive) and do this without a disc because I don't have any blank CDs. I have already pressed F8 on startup to get to the system recovery options, but they say that Toshiba HDD recovery is impossible.
Thanks in advance! Goodbye!

Hello, you can also try to launch the recovery partition this way

    Click on
    Start
    Control Panel
If needed, "view by large icons"
    Maintenance Center
    Recovery
    Advanced recovery methods
Restore your computer to factory settings
    Ignore
    restart

Hello, yes that's what I did, everything goes well until the restart when it asks me for the Windows recovery CD (which is in my computer) and it doesn't detect it.

I thought it would directly launch the recovery partition (so no need for a DVD).
You could potentially clean the lens of the drive.
