Hello,
I have a Toshiba P200 and I would like to know if it's possible to restore the system to the same state as when it was first used without the restoration CD.

- you start your PC by repeatedly tapping the F8 key
- when the page appears, you choose "repair your computer" and press the Enter key.
- you choose "hdd recovery" and follow the on-screen instructions.

With the computer off, you need to press the "0" ZERO from the numbers above the letters, then turn on the computer... and follow the instructions ;)

When I turn it on, the screen is black with a message in the upper left corner, "No bootable device -- Please restart system!"
What should I do to be able to use it again without the CD?

Otherwise, install Windows from a USB stick. Press F12 at startup and select the USB stick with Windows to start the installation. ;)

  So you must have a problem with your recovery partition, and therefore you won't be able to restore without a CD.
  
  Are there no other recovery options besides the one you chose? If so, try that.
  
  Otherwise, when you click and the window closes, wait a bit; maybe it's still working, as restorations often take time.

  In fact, if I understood correctly, you formatted and now you're in trouble... Unfortunately, you also had to format your partitions and bye bye the backup... I think you only have to buy the disk. Try here: http://www.toshiba.fr/discontinued-products/

    Hi Duss, I think I made the same mistake as Polacsek. I wanted to know if it's serious or if I just need to buy a repair disk from Toshiba and install it on the PC.
    Because my PC is a Toshiba Portégé Z10t-A and when I start the computer I see the Toshiba loading screen, then there’s a message that lasts barely 1 second telling me to insert a disk.
