This is my first complaint letter;

Hello;
I am writing to recount the following facts. I reside in Algeria, I am a widower without children, and unable to endure loneliness any longer, I signed up on a dating site, Meetic Affinity. I won't even explain the gymnastics I had to perform to finally get the prize. The cost of sending the check was half the subscription price, and despite this, someone had to be monopolized on site in Paris because there is no office, just a post office box and DHL delivers with acknowledgment of receipt.
In short, I was surprised to learn that the singles proposed to me could not contact me, and my messages were blocked since they were not subscribers, and I had to wait for them to subscribe to get their contact information.
I was essentially the goat or the decoy paying, so to speak. I wrote to them twice asking them to propose me profiles of subscribers, otherwise not to block my messages, and I was obviously answered with arguments that were of no interest at that time. These people have no scruples.
I live in a third-world country where we spend most of our time resolving false problems. If we turn to you, France, it's to avoid enduring such practices, unworthy of a site with such significant media coverage.
I thank you for your understanding and hope you can find a solution if possible.
Sincerely
S. Khris

Hello,

You have reached out to the FEVAD regarding your inability to contact Affinity members, despite having a subscription.

I would like to provide some clarification.

After checking your account, I did not find any dysfunction.

You indeed have an active 6-month pass since 14/10/2013.

This subscription has allowed you to contact Affinity members.

Similarly, female members without a subscription can only respond to your first message.

Therefore, you can still receive responses, even if few.
Moreover, while Affinity selects the members who best match your profile, it is essential that you are proactive and dynamic in your search.

Here are my tips to encourage the creation of interesting contacts:

1) Enhance your profile.

Illustrate your profile with new photos!

Publish an announcement presenting your personality and life, outlining your ideal partner, and explaining your expectations in a romantic relationship.
Write it carefully, show positivity, creativity, and don’t forget humor.
Feel free to modify it regularly.

Beyond the fact that you will likely receive more visits, this will encourage other members to get to know you better and therefore write to you.

2) Specify your search criteria.

The better you define them, the more coherent your "Selection of Singles" will be, and the higher your chances of successful communication.
To modify them, go to the section "Your account" >> "Your search criteria".

3) Write personalized and unique messages.

When you choose to write to one of our members, it is because they have attracted you. Try, as much as possible, to explain what caught your attention.
Avoid sending (especially via copy/paste) the same message to different profiles.

Your message should stand out from the others!

Choose an original subject that captivates the attention of its recipient.
As for the content, instead of describing or introducing yourself—your profile does that—why not focus on compliments and express your curiosity for this person by asking questions?

Make your genuine desire to get to know your recipient better felt.

I am convinced that these tips will help you create interesting and ongoing contacts, and I remain at your disposal.

Sincerely,

Salima

My response;

I did not expect that a paid dating site would give instructions and instead of resolving my issues by apologizing for the inconvenience and the time I waste begging you to send me a serious file, you advise me on I don't know what. My 6-month subscription has been largely used and I have not received any serious responses as you block my messages which contain my contact information.
I NEVER thought I would end up here. I am 59 years old; I am not a child. I subscribed to your site believing I would find seriousness and serenity. It cost me an additional €50 to send you the amount, knowing that your services were archaic, and I've landed right in the middle of it.
I have written to you, called several times, and each time I get the same responses; you expect me to lure your registered customers to get them to subscribe. I play a sort of goat at my expense since the subscription is still active. This is an immoral sales technique.

Message: I subscribed to Meetic Affinity from Algeria and I find myself with profiles of women that I cannot contact because they are not subscribed, and I am told that I must wait for them to subscribe, in which case I am left in the lurch. After several follow-ups, I am being blatantly mocked with generic responses. Can you please help me resolve this issue because I have a subscription that is useless? Thank you.

    Hello

    The only solution is to complain on the official Meetic website or to call them.

    Mr Nicocacola, I don't know if you have read the letter I took care to send, but I have called several times and nothing works. I even went so far as to ask them to pass a message to just one person, but nothing at all. Knowing that I am in Algeria, they couldn't care less; they pocketed the money and their only goal is their next victims.

    I replied to you confirming that I have made all possible appeals by mail and phone, and it has cost me money. They have no consideration for my distress in this situation; I even sent you the letter and exchanges with them. Nevertheless, my subscription is running out, and I still have nothing at all. I wanted to speak to a supervisor, but I was passed to people on the phone who just repeat the same arguments without caring about my real problem.

    It's a gang of thieves, worse still, they're not even in France. Recently, they stole 45 euros from me and so far I haven't received anything. I'm filing a complaint.
