I want to buy a laptop and I'm an average user, so I don't want to pay $1000 for it. I'd like to hear your opinions, please.

    I’m not skilled when it comes to offers, I suppose Canadian ones since the price is expressed in dollars.

    The specification, in my view, should be at least 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, a 15-inch screen, a well-known brand.

    Under these conditions we don’t need an autonomous graphics card; among the various models that will be returned by a search on a reliable site, choose based on its battery life (theoretical) and the presence of a numeric keypad on the keyboard.

    Prices have risen considerably with RAM speculation; a search under these conditions leads in France to a range of 500-600€, i.e. not far from the same thing as your 1000€ at the exchange rate of 0.62.

    To go below this, you have to sacrifice RAM, disk size or screen size, buy a "No Name" brand, all of which are discouraged, although for example Acemagic, I don’t know what that is, is often positioned lower, or buy refurbished.
