DCP-J315W Printer Initial. Unable to.

Hello,

I have an issue with my Brother printer.

I just came back from a long stay in China, and when I got home, I wanted to print something. When I turned my printer on, it made a strange noise and displayed "initial.Imposs.AF." and I have the "!" flashing.

It is important to know that I kept my printer unplugged for quite a while.

    Hello,
    It is possible that this printer has remained inactive for too long, Brother recommends using cartridges within 6 months after installation!
    Try removing all of them, check that the printer is in working order, match the colors to their locations and then reinsert them one by one.
    If a message appears asking you to confirm whether the cartridge is new or not, select no.
    Then proceed with a print head cleaning and attempt a test print.

      The printer prints, I can even clean the heads but I don't feel like it's effective. When I clean and print again, the result is the same.

    I just came back from the store where I bought the printer and apparently it's coming from the scanner...

    So I'm going to buy another one...
