Unable to connect to the Google server. Solved

Question

Hello everyone!

So here it is, I have a pretty annoying problem. I own an Acer Liquid e2 and for some time now I've been having connection issues with the Play Store, YouTube, and a synchronization problem with my Google account! Quite bothersome! I've tried several techniques, including clearing the cache, changing the time, etc. but none of them worked...

I then decided to do a factory reset. I backed up my data, wiped everything, and the reset started...
When I reached the home screen, it asked me to choose a language, I selected French, and then it asked for my Google account. I entered it, and there it gave me the error message "Unable to establish a reliable connection to the server" and so on... I'm unable to go back, so I restart the phone, skip this step, and try to enter it once I'm in the settings, but still the same error message!
I tried several solutions found on forums, but still nothing...
I also tried removing the SIM card and the micro SD card, did the factory reset again and STILL the same!

It's very frustrating because a lot of things are configured on my Google account, such as access to the Play Store, Play Music, my YouTube account, etc...
I also tried to create an account directly on the phone, but it keeps telling me that the username is already taken, ALWAYS!

I want to emphasize that my Wi-Fi works perfectly, that I can access the internet, and that I've already done all possible operations. If someone could help me, I would be eternally grateful! ><
I really don't want to send it back under warranty since I just received it not long ago...

I had the same problem and I found the solution ^^

on your computer, log in to your Google account
in account, go to security
then to two-step verification
and click on manage your app-specific passwords.

this will give you a password to log in on your phones or tablets

I encountered the same problem as you. On another phone, my account is accessible, but not on mine. This seems to be (for my part) due to the use of Soft Market Enabler and Freedom on my rooted device.
I resolved the issue by removing these two apps and restoring my phone with ROM Manager.

You need to download the ES Explorer app, then go to the 'Device' option at the top of the app, then search for the 'etc' folder. Open it and now look for the 'hosts' file, delete it, restart your phone, and it should be good.

You just need to download Adaway on Aptoide, once the app is installed, launch it and then download the updates for this app. Once finished, exit the app, restart your mobile, and there you go, your Play Store will be accessible again.

Hi, for my part, I solved the issue by revoking access to my device from my Google account settings on my PC. Then, I was able to reconnect my account and the sync/playstore worked.

To delete the HOST files
download a root explorer or es file explorer,
grant it root permissions
navigate through the phone and go to the root of the directories.
look for the ETC folder
in this folder find a file called "host"
delete it
restart

Hello, I have a problem.
I think I uninstalled Freedom incorrectly, but since then I had to do a factory reset and I still have the issue.
So now I can't log into a Google account and I can't launch Freedom either because a Google account needs to be registered...

Can someone help me?

I had the same problem! I rooted my phone and installed Freedom! And when I uninstalled it, no Play Store! I unrooted my phone but to no avail! So I reset my phone but the same problem! I rooted my phone again and ooooop the problem is solved!

So, I had the same problem, my little sister borrowed her friend's Samsung tablet and of course, there was guilt.
I read all the comments that offered their solutions, but unfortunately I didn't dare install the applications for fear of messing up the files.
Finally, I found the solution; apparently the date was March 6, 2012 while we are on July 1, 2015 and the time zone was not selected or was incorrect and the time was off. So I fixed all those date, time, and time zone errors and I can see the application notifications appear. And you notice that you weren't receiving anything because your date was old and you weren't getting anything. Finally, I was able to access emails etc. Everything works perfectly.
There you go, I hope my help has been useful to some.

I don't know if I'm in the right place so I'm asking my question, but feel free to let me know if it’s not okay..

I had to reboot my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, so I did a "wipe data/factory reset" then "reboot now," it works, the phone restarts like new, I accept the license agreement, it asks for the Google account, which is recognized but then it keeps sending me back to the license agreement and it starts over, Google account then sent back to the license agreement...
I'm getting a bit desperate.
Do you have any idea please?
