Fiber cable to antenna cable connection

Hello,

In October, I decided to switch my ISP to Bouygues - Request made over the phone (which you definitely shouldn't do) I was imposed the B Box fiber - a technician came to install it and replaced the antenna socket with a coaxial screw socket - so far, so good. My concern is that while the technician did pull a cable from the Numericable junction box into the technical duct, he connected it to the roof antenna cable coming down from the upper floors, and as a result, no cable reaches the junction box serving my apartment. For your information, my apartment is on the 4th floor and the junction box is on the 2nd.
Is this the reason why a large part of the channels are scrambled? I admit I no longer call Bouygues technical support because they understand nothing.
Thank you for your advice and let me know if I should demand that a technician come back to redo the connections.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 18.0e

Hi,
to be completely correct, the technician should have installed a new outlet and a new cable for your internet access instead of destroying the existing ones.
You have the right to request that they restore the previous installation to working order.

and ... There you go!

Installers can optionally install an additional socket, separate from the antenna socket, upon request. But in the vast majority of cases, they replace the antenna socket: it's simpler, faster, more discreet... In any case, the screw-on coaxial socket continues to provide the free basic channels, just like an antenna socket.

And if you cancel your cable subscription?
The free broadcast channels still come in, right?
Who will reinstall the previous antenna system and at whose expense?
This way of doing things is completely unreasonable, especially in rental housing.

Generally, free channels continue after cancellation, at least for "clean" cancellations (no outstanding payments, equipment returned in good condition). Otherwise, I don't know who pays for the reconnection to the antenna.

I also had major problems with Bouygues since the installation of the fiber Bbox. They are crooks who sell you the thing without informing you of the consequences. Going back to traditional broadcasting seems quite simple; I asked the technician how to do it. In the technical room (at my place on the landing one floor above), you need to unplug your cable from the Numericable box (the box isn't locked) and plug it back into the broadcasting box. The thing is you have to identify your cable so you don't unplug the neighbor's installation. I haven't tested to see if it works, but theoretically, it should work.
