Hi, With Freebox TV we have TF1 and M6, but I don't understand why they don’t appear with VLC media playerConfiguration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0
Hello everyone, the dumbest thing about all this is that TF1 and M6 are on TNT, and there you can record them as much as you want and in digital format!!!! And legally!!! Even TF1 HD can be recorded from TNT
for the DVD recorder if it goes through HDMI okay for the copy again via the Freebox HD, but it comes down to the same thing as recording on the hard drive of the Freebox HD....
if it goes through SCART, therefore analog, it’s not worth it, it’s like with a PC capture card, it remains analog!
The best option is to buy a USB TNT stick, I recommend (without having any shares in it) the Emtec Intuix S810 for 20-23 euros that I can also get to work under Linux despite it not being intended for that, and the image quality is more than exemplary!!! and it supports HD, by putting the right codecs! just a good PouchinTV Mod under XP/Vista with DScaler filter, etc... it's indicated on the site (RAM usage 15MB in SD compared to 54MB in SD with the original software) channel switching using the remote control or keyboard Tested with an ATI remote Wonder and it works perfectly!
and under Linux with Kaffeine or VLC, you type: "S810 Ubuntu" on Google and you’ll find the right page...
I tried with the OpenSUSE distribution, I didn’t manage to get it to work, at the same time I didn’t stress about it too much since I don’t like OpenSUSE.
As for the boycott, yes and no, it's not always easy, there are good and bad programs.... but you really have to be dumb to let yourself be broadcast for free on terrestrial TV, TNT, TNT HD, FREEBOX HD, and to refuse to be broadcast to FREEBOX HD OWNERS the broadcast, even at low speed on the PCs of the network!!!!!
especially since the same Freebox HD thanks to its hard drive allows you to record in digital or in HD digital!!!!
I took the subscription for the promo pack with all the MCM and M6 Music for which you cannot retrieve the recorded files with the Freebox HD by FTP server, and they, however, are in the playlist, we can watch them, so why aren’t TF1, M6, and W9 there???? And does recording these channels on the PC work? (I haven't tested yet)
there's however something interesting to test, that I just thought of while writing these lines, if someone wants to take the plunge!!! it would be to test recording in Timeshifting on the Freebox HD and more specifically on normal or HD TF1, but from TNT since the one from ADSL is locked, and with your PC connected to the network trying to read in the FTP of the Freebox with a slight delay in the video....
If that works it would be a nice workaround. But not everyone has the TNT tuner in their Freebox HD...
best regards!
papthor
I tested a recording with the TNT tuner, in both standard and HD versions for TF1. The files can be transferred via FTP to the PC, but the HD version is not readable (sound is fine, but the image consists of big blocks that move a little). On the other hand, the standard version is playable with VLC on the PC. I have some stuttering in sound and image, but it might be an issue with TNT reception.

Hello, the TNT HD TUNER of the Freebox is more than limited (huge lag at my place). I thought I had a bad reception (roof antenna), but the same antenna with the same cable connected to the Home Cinema PC, which has an HD TNT tuner card, works perfectly well without lag; it works like a charm. So unfortunately, without a PCHC, to record TF1 in HD, I mean in HD, there's only the box's TNT HD tuner which is not great, otherwise you have to settle for SD.
Recording via ADSL TV (in HD) but as you all know, for TF1 and M6, only recording via TNT (roof antenna) works, so with ADSL TV, it's fine but only readable on that specific box.
Good luck to everyone.

Hello, maybe it’s time we took charge and boycotted those stupid channels and other services that always try to take more from us and treat us like thieves because we use emule, while we are the consumers who keep them alive.
Well, tonight I'm reconnecting my TV tuner to watch Prison Break season 4 in French. But this is exceptional.
I threw away my TV some time ago because of the same people who would shut down the internet if they could, but since that’s not possible (too decentralized ;-) they are gradually turning it into Minitel 2.0.
It’s up to you not to buy the music player thing that can’t even play an mp3, but only the proprietary format stuffed with DRM and other joys...
Bye!
Laurent
No, we can't, however you can buy a TNT USB key; for €30, you get TF1, M6, and W9 – you have these channels in better quality and without bugs.

Hello,
I have the Freebox V5 + HD box, I have access on my computer to a whole bunch of channels except for TF1 and M6 in particular. Is the solution of plugging in a TNT USB stick to watch TF1 and M6 still applicable?
Thank you!
Boobs
It's not complicated. TF1, M6, and W9 are not in the playlist usable by VLC, to prevent users from recording these channels. Similarly, if you record these channels using the HD box, you will notice that you cannot retrieve them via FTP.
ozfrog, it's normal for you to have these channels over the air; it's the digital broadcast that is not authorized.

Hello everyone
I am also with Free, the explanation is that they did not obtain the rights for multi-diffusion, that is why the channels in question are only available on the HD box.
Have a good day!
Crazydodie
I have the same problem, but why do we have these channels on TV if Free is not allowed to broadcast them? It's frustrating not being able to watch your favorite series on the computer!
ozfrog
Hello, I have the same problem in a way; On my PC with a Pinnacle PCTV Rave card - I have the 6 terrestrial channels - S-video connection. On my iMac - going through airport (WiFi) and the VLC software - neither TF1, W9, nor M6.
The FREE hotline responds that they do not have broadcasting rights but cannot explain how the same shows, coming from the same copper line, are not available depending on whether you use a capture card or a software connection;
Strange and not very coherent.

Free is the worst operator, don't be surprised either ;) When I see that you can't even download, call, and watch TV at the same time, it really makes me laugh!!! Besides, all ADSL operators are bad, luckily cable and fiber optic exist....
teufeur91
I don't agree with you. I have the Freebox, I watch TV with Emule running at 800kb/s in total, it works very well... and even when I'm playing Counter Strike, there are no issues at all...
tokolod
You're talking nonsense, Ju. Free isn't the worst operator.

this clown!!!! you must be in the ass end of the world!!!! don't generalize!!! you probably can't even set up your PC correctly and can't do anything me, I'm in Caen, I have Free and I'm on ADSL 2, and before that I had Numericable with fiber optics (but not fully finished in the region) ah comparing for the same price I have 10 megas with Numericable and 8 with Free so for two megas I prefer a little HD box with a hard drive and frankly in terms of speed I'm doing big downloads plus TV and browsing at the same time and it works perfectly and my two PCs are not high-end (Packard netbook XP + Acer Aspire M1201 desktop Vista)
and to finish, every time I've encountered a difficulty I contacted Free's free support, super pleasant, little waiting time, and they solved the problem while with Numericable I sometimes waited 45 minutes before getting someone

Hi!! To watch TF1, you need to download Livestation (search on Google). It's a program in English, but if you know a few English words, it's fine! Download, install, and then start the program, and you need to sign up (it takes 15 seconds!) & boom, it's done! So people who have the TV channels stream them live. Right now, there are quite a few channels, including TF1, and soon there will be M6. The only issue is that when people stop streaming, it cuts off, but you can always find someone else who is streaming! However, I don't know if it's legal or not, since TF1 has expressed its disapproval of the channel being streamed on computers..(for stupid reasons too). Anyway, I hope you understood, otherwise feel free to ask me questions!
Hello Take a look at this post: M6 anti-copy protection 0_0Last reply on February 4, 2010 at 7:00:56 PM aiglenoirdu29, on February 3, 2010 at 10:50:59 AM it's not sad either and it's what awaits us with DTT PS the TF1 and M6 groups have refused the ISPs the right to exploit their respective channels on ADSL TV and among other reasons, indeed to prevent recordings. there is the replay system which will soon be paid that "supplements" Always about the money! hi

slt bien, to get TF1 and M6 on VLC, you just need to update your list by replacing the PLAYLIST
this playlist does not add TF1... Does anyone have a solution?
machin
It no longer works as W9 (M6 group) Free is no longer allowed to broadcast them.

It's not very nice... Until now, Free's service was really flawless or almost perfect!!! Sniff

You can watch TF1 on tf1.fr, but only certain shows are available. Only the news and the games.

After various tests.... The Freebox HD TNT tuner isn't working!
The same antenna connected to the PCHC decodes HD perfectly....
So is it the HD TNT receiver chip or the tuner??? In any case, as "papthor" said, it's impossible to record HD and retrieve it via FTP....
However, there's still the option of a PCHC or a regular PC + TNT key + HD software (PouchinTV Mod latest model on forum 0.206 or 0.208, and there it can record full TNT and TNT HD...)
Otherwise, for channels like MCM, M6 Music and friends that we can't retrieve via FTP, we can launch with the Freebox playlist on the PC and then do what is called a "stream recording." On Linux with MPlayer, on Windows (to be searched) by typing on Google "Freebox playlist stream recording"
Hoping this can help a few people....
This is complicated for the final result, but remains interesting for a DIGITAL recording if we really need it.

Sorry, but I don't know!

"TF1, M6 and W9 are not in the playlist usable by VLC, to prevent users from recording these channels."
It's really stupid this trick, as if DVD recorders didn't exist... °_° Not clever!!!
