Turn on wifi compaq pc

Hello,

I have a mini Compaq PC here, but its Wi-Fi activation key is no longer working. I would like to know if there is another way to activate its Wi-Fi (the PC was recovered, no warranty).

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.11

    Hello,
    If it's Windows Vista or 7, you do the following:
    - right-click on the WiFi network icon in the notification area
    - Open Network and Sharing Center
    - Properties of the adapter (in the left sidebar)
    - right-click on the WiFi device
    - Enable
    --

    Be humble and polite towards the volunteers at CCM and please indicate if your issue is resolved.

    It does not appear in the notification area, it tells me that the device is working, and in Network and Sharing there are no Properties of the adapter, in Manage Wireless Networks: here I see where it was connected before, this time with Properties of the adapter but no option to enable it.
    The light on the key that is not working stays orange, so it’s disabled.

    So after doing lengthy manual searches, I managed to make the network icon appear in its little notification bar, but it doesn't detect any networks, not even searching for them, so either the card is dead in a sense, or the drivers are buggy, or I'm teaching it to fly from the 20th floor to the ground :D

      If the drivers are buggy, nothing prevents you from uninstalling/reinstalling them (check the manufacturer's website to find them)
      Take a look in the Windows Device Manager to see if the Wifi card is properly installed.

      If it’s really dead because of this key or the card, you have the option to buy a Wifi card or USB dongle before sending your PC to crash.

      The manager tells me that it is well installed and that it works, the drivers have then been updated, but I will try something else, maybe a good big format will make it reason again.
