Hello,
I want to make my phone malfunction so I can claim another one. This isn't the right method to go about it, but it already has a lot of bugs and people keep telling me that it's really good, etc.
Anyway, what should I do?
Thank you very much!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 7.0.1

Sending a big electric shock to it might work, but be careful with electricity. Worst case, the phone will be burned.

Otherwise, you can try with water if your warranty covers this kind of damage.

In general, this type of device doesn’t like cold or heat, so you could try the freezer or leaving it in the sun all day. But I don’t know the effects.

Make sure to check what your warranty covers and how the store handles these types of situations, so you don’t end up with a destroyed phone that can't be exchanged, for example. Have fun.

Hello.

Personally, I would definitely try with the microwave.
But not for too long, because it will burn.
A few seconds, just enough to mess up the electronic circuits without heating.
It shouldn't like that too much.

Or, a good virus.
It must exist.
We did find some in USB battery chargers:

Nothing stops them.

;-)

Best regards.

Thank you very much! I really think I’m going to try the microwave. It seems efficient and quick to me! ;)

Yes, but the touch screen has a lot of bugs, sometimes I can't type and it turns off for no reason at times. And despite that, I'm being told there are no issues :/

Marie: I don’t know how old you are, but if you’re young, I wouldn’t be surprised if the seller takes advantage of your youth to brush you off. Go with your parents or an adult friend; it might turn out differently. Don’t let them push you around, especially. Make sure to explain the issues with the phone clearly and insist. What do you mean by “the touch screen bugs”? Does it lag when you use it?

I'm 15 years old, and you’re probably right. Well, to write a message, he doesn't always respond when I write.

Either it’s not performing well (it’s slow) or it’s bugging. But I’m not an expert so… If they really don’t want to listen at the store, go to plan B and try the techniques mentioned above. Otherwise, ask mom/dad for a new phone.

I will go back to the store with an adult friend and explain the problems to them again, otherwise I'll do as you said earlier or I’ll ask for a new phone, thank you very much, you’ve been very helpful :)
