how to remove a stuck disc from ps3? Solved

Hello,
I am playing NBA 2K11 and once I exited the game, I ejected it and it won't come out even though the PlayStation doesn't recognize it inside anymore; you can't see it from the outside at all. I have pushed it several times with tweezers, the PlayStation recognizes it again, I can play the game, but the CD won't come out! I also tried to dust off the PlayStation, and nothing works; the CD still won't eject. So please, I would like to know if there is a way to get the CD out of the PlayStation because I don't want to play NBA for the rest of my life!

this manipulation only works with a FAT

turn off the console with the button at the back
press the eject button
then turn on the button at the back while still holding the eject button

you should hear the PS3 rev up
you'll see your CD come out

for a slim, no idea

me too, for a while now... you have to press it several times and put an object on top of the CD and your console for the CD to come out. Next time, take your game out when you turn off your PlayStation because the longer the game stays in the PS3, the harder it is to get it out (that's how it is for me).

You need to disassemble the console like in the YLOD tutorial. You remove the BD drive, turn it over, take out the small screws from the metal frame that you remove. Then you'll have partial access to the disc and you can carefully take it out by fiddling a bit.

I put some potatoes in there, I smashed them to death, then I just saw that you actually just had to turn it on and hold down the blue button lol.

My PS3 displayed a red light and wouldn't start, but it worked anyway, and I was able to take out my disc. Thank you very much.

The technique of holding down while turning it off and on didn't work for me, I managed to eject my CD by holding down the eject button for 10 seconds  :)
