I can't seem to activate my webcam and would like a little help, thank you

    Open the Start menu and then search for the program Cyberlink You Cam.

    I am also in the same situation with my Samsung NC110 netbook, which is 3 months old.

    When I received it, I tried capturing an image directly from the Facebook site and everything worked, so I uploaded a photo in just a few clicks.

    Now, I’m trying again, and it doesn’t work anymore.

    I have launched the pre-installed Youcam program... nothing happens when I click on it in the start menu; I see the little logo starting near the clock, then it disappears, and nothing else... the software doesn’t appear in the task manager.

    There are 2 programs: YOUCAM and YOUCAM MIRROR, and I don’t know the difference between them.

    I have almost nothing installed on this netbook to avoid interfering with the programs.

    It’s YOUCAM 3.13 that is installed along with Windows Seven.

    Please give me some information on how to get this software to work. Thank you.

    Personally, I reinstalled W7 and then found no software on the Samsung site, just drivers. So I downloaded the universal camera capture software from the Toshiba site. Miracle, it detected my camera, found the right drivers, and on top of that, you can take photos and videos directly. Thanks to low-cost notebooks, there's not even a reinstallation follow-up; it feels like the good old days of Renault Packard Bell or HP, where only your retailer can help you with your "" meaning they just hand you another bill!

      You need to have a Toshiba because it detects your laptop first. I had a Toshiba hard drive on W7 that worked on my Samsung. It failed: I tried again without Toshiba and it was impossible. Otherwise, you need to find YouCam from CyberLink with the license and everything works fine on W7, no additional drivers needed. Personally, I have version 5; the mirror is used for framing: zoom and mirror effect left or right, the other one is for adding effects, frames, automatic surveillance recording, and many other things. It allows direct access to the mirror and takes photos or video captures. Simple and effective. For those whose camera doesn't work, you need to update the drivers, especially if there's a ? in the control panel, system, device manager, image acquisition device. It detected for me a: Webcam SCB-0355N manufactured by Microsoft. Microsoft driver from 06/21/2006 v 6.1.7601.17514 (win7sp1-rtm.101119-1850)
