Hello,
I have problems with freezing + undetected screen. For a long time, I didn't understand why I had this issue, but by leaving the PC on and turning it on, I noticed that the fan on my graphics card wasn't spinning at all. I don't think it's a connection issue because I didn't have this problem before and had never opened my PC. Do I need to change the graphics card or is there something I can do?

I did a little test to see if the connections were really the issue: I turned on the PC and "helped" the fan by turning it manually. If I turn it the wrong way, I feel it struggle a bit, and if I turn it the right way, it turns slowly for 2 seconds. Conclusion: the fan is dead.
My graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GS.
Now my question is, could the graphics card be damaged from overheating it? Because if so, there's no point in buying the fan just for the graphics card to fail a month later; I might as well buy a new graphics card altogether.
