Canon Pixma printer not detected via Livebox 7

Hello everyone,
I have a Canon Pixma MG3600 printer. I am on Windows 11.
Since the installation of the Livebox 7 at my place, it’s impossible to print from my computer over Wi-Fi. The installation assistant cannot find any printer on the network, while in the list of wifi networks (when I switch to "recognition" mode), it is clearly visible.
Via USB cable, printing works fine.
Is there a problem with the frequency band, or something else to configure?
The online help talks about WPS, but that does not exist on the Livebox 7.
Thanks for your help,
Perrine

Good evening,
To connect your Canon Pixma MG3600 to Wi-Fi via the Livebox 7, use WPS Mode: Press the WPS button on the Livebox, then on the printer within the next 2 minutes.

Hello,
Try by pressing the wifi icon and the + on the box.

Hello,
The wireless configuration does not necessarily go through WPS and can be obtained by software if the configuration is, as likely, the same as on the 3650.

A possible WiFi connection fault with the Box, if it persists, could be due to the WiFi band selection on the Box.

Hello
In order to easily connect your devices to your Livebox 7, I invite you:

- Click on Pair a device,
- Select Repeater or TV Box,
- Confirm and then wait for the pairing to complete,
- The confirmation of the connected device will appear.

If the problem persists:
- Download and install -> Revo Uninstaller
- Run it as administrator
- Uninstall all products of the Canon printer
- Follow the tutorial to uninstall everything cleanly, including residual folders and registry keys
- For residue scan, check -> advanced mode
- Disconnect the USB cable from the PC
- Turn on the printer
- Run the driver setup -> Pixma MG3600
- Follow the instructions.

Hello, same thing uninstalling everything, then reinstalling.
it sees my printer:
Re
The printer is on Wi-Fi: IEEE802.11n / IEEE802.11g / IEEE802.11b
The Livebox is on be and cannot drop to the printer's standards.
Connection impossible.

Hello,
astonishingly, Wi-Fi standards are in principle backwards compatible, a Wi-Fi 7 speed to a printer is in any case absurd and Wi-Fi should settle on a lower standard.
There are other hypotheses.
Poor frequency band from the box where the printer would only support one.
Wi‑Fi not enabled by default in the printer’s settings and where it may then need to be enabled, including dynamic or static address, gateway and DNS consistent with the rest of the network.
Misplaced role of the Wi-Fi repeater which would block communication if it must occur in the 5 GHz band.
Also misplaced role of a possible security software which would block communications to the printer’s IP but unless other menus not displayed or explored in <7> we do not see an IP assigned to the printer.
....
@ brucine
There is something else that will prevent the connection.
The Livebox only offers the latest WPA security options.

Of course, but in principle the printer supports WPA, unless, of course, it’s the Wi-Fi repeater in the 5 GHz band that causes trouble.

Hello everyone,
thanks for your messages. I spent quite a lot of time trying your suggestions, and I was not able to find what is blocking the printer’s Wi-Fi connection.
I’m giving up and closing this thread.

Download and install this --> Canon Wi-Fi Connection Assistant <<--
After installation:
Turn on the printer
Run --> Wi-Fi Connection Assistant
Click on --> Diagnostics and repairHello,
Just so you know, have you activated the share Wi-Fi mode in your livebox interface to separate the bands and then try to reconnect the printer?
Your printer must absolutely connect via 2.4 GHz.
Then also try resetting it by holding the Sop/Reset button until the light blinks at least 17 times to bring the Wi‑Fi module to zero and see if the printer appears once connected.
