The date changes when I copy a sheet.

Hello,
When I copy a sheet from one Excel workbook to another, the date changes.
For example, I have a date at the beginning of the table: 01/01/2010, when I move the sheet (I drag it from one workbook to another, and it copies), the date becomes: 02/01/2014. The date is not linked to any other sheet.
Does anyone have an explanation, and how can I avoid this?
Mac Snow Leopard, Excel 2004, the same thing under Excel X
Thank you

Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 531.22.7

    Hello
I'm not sure about what I'm saying, but I think your two workbooks are not using the same date option.
    In Excel 2007:
Click on the logo, go to Excel Options, and in the list at the level:
when calculating this workbook"; you need to check or uncheck "1904 date system"
same for versions prior to 2007. I don't quite remember the path. You need to go through the toolbar / Tools / Options and probably the calculation tab(?)
    Best regards

Thank you, that was exactly it, my 2 binders didn't have the same option checked.

    Hello,

When you copy, a small tag appears. (Drawing of a binder), you can then choose "Values". Or, you can right-click to paste, selecting Paste Special and once again click on Value.

I hope this will help you.

    Have a nice day!

Thank you, but I want to keep the formulas I have in other cells, and by copying the values, I lose them. The previous message solved my problem.
      Sincerely,
