Hello,

for a week now, my laptop charger has been making noise, a constant beeping. As a result, my battery is not charging... for the past 3-4 months, I've also had a charger problem, I have trouble connecting my charger to my laptop, so my battery struggles to charge... I often have to fiddle with it, resulting in my battery having only a three-minute lifespan due to frequent handling...

my computer is a Toshiba, it's two years old, and I would like to know where this problem comes from and what I can do to fix it... since I think the problem will continue if I change my battery and charger; I believe the issue is with the laptop itself not receiving the charger...

Hello again!
I found the solution, or at least a temporary one. I hit the charger until it stopped making that damn beep beep and it works again. Well, I'm not sure the result will be very good in the long run, but it can help out until I get another charger.

But do you think the problem will stop... since I forgot to mention that I already borrowed the charger from another Toshiba, there's of course no more noise... but my battery still struggles to charge... what needs to be fixed in all of this?

And change the battery because you must have short-circuited it or maybe you broke the power card... but change the charger.

If you have a machine or like I do, a power balance bracelet, it doesn't work, replace the part.

I came across this post by chance while looking for an answer to my problem.

I plugged in my HP Pavilion laptop.... and my power cable started making a beeping noise... and it’s not charging anymore. Very strange. Everything was fine until now.

Is it the charger??? The battery???

Hello, I have exactly the same problem as you with my HP Pavilion laptop.
Except that I noticed that the power supplies for HP are not the same as for others like ACER, for example. Would you have a link to recommend within a small price range?

I've had the same issue; I have an HP Pavilion. I've had 2 chargers and had the same issue twice. I don't understand what causes that; I take good care of it...

It sometimes happens that the charger falls to the ground. That's what caused the noise in my charger; it comes from where the power cable is plugged in, and I found a small crack there. I squeeze both sides of the charger, pressing, and there's no more noise! But it comes back right after a few seconds, which is why a wire or some tape will do the trick. I recommend putting a tiny bit of tape just on that side to prevent the charger from overheating.

Then your battery issue is something else.

I also have an HP Pavilion and I'm experiencing the same problem. I've bought several chargers and each time they've "burned out" and made beeping sounds. I also think it's because of the charger, but it's still strange that it's always with HP Pavilion...

Same for me, I have an HP Pavilion, a while ago, I had to replace the battery that died unexpectedly.

And now it's the charger that's having a problem. Mine doesn't beep but does make a sound that resembles the ticking of a second hand (the seconds hand in watches and clocks).

It's very strange that so many people are affected. The manufacturing error seems very real, but is it intentional?

I'm not expecting an answer to that question, but any non-makeshift solution for getting the equipment working properly again would be welcome.

It's weird, but this worked well for me. I first put it in a plastic bag and left it in the fridge for about fifteen minutes. Then, I took a friend's charger that was working fine, I disconnected the two parts—the male plug (which goes to the wall outlet) and the transformer. I connected my transformer to his male plug. After a few seconds, my computer turned on. Finally, I put everything back in order. It's been a week now, and I haven't had any charger problems since.

the beep is due to a bad connection because the insulation used to cover one of the wires coming out of the "PC connection" side is worn, so you just need to open your case and carefully unwrap the insulation while being careful not to cut the wires. I know why right now it's making beeping sounds......... It's because your memory is full, you need to reset the entire computer. I asked my uncle who is a computer technician and he told me it wasn't serious, just go see a computer repairman.
