How does the wii battery charger work

Hello, for my part, I also bought the "dual charger" from BigBen two days ago and the problem I'm encountering is as follows: when connecting the charger to the Wii, the "power" light on the charger is a solid red and stays that way throughout the charging time. The "charging" light, once the Wiimote is placed on its dock and throughout the charging time, is a flashing blue. I used this device today for the first time, placed the batteries in the Wiimote with the provided cover, and put them on the charging dock correctly connected to the Wii at 3:00 PM. At 12:30 AM, the "charging" light was still flashing, and the "power" light was still a solid red. As a precaution, and finding the charging time particularly long, 9 hours and 30 minutes in total, I stopped there.

Before turning off the Wii, I checked in the appropriate menu if the Wiimote was charged, and that was the case.
However, I have read here and there that the "power" light should be a solid blue; mine is solid red.
Is this normal?
For your information and after verification, there is indeed contact between the Wiimote cover and the metallic parts of the charger.

I'm bringing this subject back to the surface, I myself am having issues with the battery + charger pack, nothing works to charge the batteries (not for lack of trying everything), plus we can't say that the instruction manual is clear "as long as the light is red, it charges" but there's a solid red and a flashing red. The solid red doesn't even last 15 seconds after putting the controller on the dock.

As a result, even after 10 hours, none of the batteries are charged (when it should be done in 2 hours -_-). What do you think? Defective battery?

Thank you for your reply, but I returned everything to Carrefour; I had a Winotte that didn't work after "10h" of charging.... They refunded me, and I bought rechargeable batteries!!!
