Hello everyone =)
I'm back for a quick question ^^
I'm building a new setup that will require some power (overclocked CPU/Crossfire), and I found a power supply that seems perfect (2 PCI-E ports for Crossfire, quiet, a whole bunch of features), the only problem is, I've never heard of the manufacturer, Xilence power.
Here is the power supply in question: https://www.grosbill.com/4-xilence_power_gaming_edition_600w_xp600_135_r_80plus_bronze_atx_12v-43961-informatique-_alimentation
So my question is, if some of you have experience, what is Xilence worth in the power supply world?
Also, if you have other power supply suggestions, no more than 60/70€ for 600W and quiet, I'm all ears :p
Thanks ^^

I got a Xilence Redwing 420W and it performs worse than my old no-name 180W !!!!!!!!
This brand is total crap for me, that's for sure. -
Good evening
I still have serious doubts about the brand:
http://www.matbe.com
Since it's a German product, I'm not surprised that it has prices listed in Germany... but not all prices hold the same value.
In short, I would avoid it.
To choose your power supply, I recommend the aforementioned MatBe comparison and especially the remarkable work of CanardPC.

for those who will be looking later ^^
this is good (even very good) merchandise, this PSU has, among other things, been awarded a prize (German press)
manufacturer link: https://xilence-lab.de/
bye =) -
No no, I don't work for Xilence ^^
But by checking the manufacturer's site, I saw that the brand has received numerous awards, not just German ones. Moreover, Germans are generally not bad at all when it comes to PC equipment. That surprises me a bit.
Thanks for the link :) -
Thank you both for these quick opinions (and this test I hadn't found :?), on paper it seems great but the test quickly brings disappointment, I wonder where all the awards given by the German specialized press displayed on their site come from!
I avoided the worst ^^, so I'm back to searching for my silent 600w power supply :p
Thank you!-
Hello
There are a ton of companies that hand out a bunch of meaningless awards, usually in exchange for contributions (it's rampant online): it serves as a marketing argument to compensate for their lack of quality. You shouldn't trust that, unless you know the award mentioned. ;-)
Best regards.

Clearly, I will pay attention to that now.
Without really looking, I realized that for less than €6 more, there were much more promising and reliable options.
I will therefore turn to an ANTEC TruePower Trio 550 (550W) https://www.grosbill.com/4-antec_truepower_trio_550_550w_sli_ready_silencieuse-42323-informatique-_alimentation
detailed specifications: http://www.ldlc.be/fiche/PB00044467.html
test: https://www.59hardware.net/
antec is a reliable brand, it seems to me to be a very good power supply (also silent), now the question of power remains :s, but I think that if 500w seemed just right for a p5e/e8500 oc/crossfire hd4850, 550w (with 3 12v outputs, 80/85%) will be enough, with even a good margin (I went through the document, particularly the pages on actual consumption).
anyway, thanks ^^ -
Ah, I wasn't even aware that the Sonata III existed in the 550 plus version (you really have to know the full name to find it on Google, otherwise everything refers to the Sonata III 500).
For this reason, after all my research, my new choice is, I think, a much better value for my use, about 30 euros less.
With an Antec Three Hundred case (2 silent fans included) and the ANTEC TruePower Trio 550 power supply (in my opinion just as good as the one from the s3+, the Antec NeoPower 550W, 3€ more at the same time is not a big deal ^^).
I looked at a review and the s3+ is quite small and was already overheating with a quad 3.4ghz/hd3850; since I'm likely to overclock mine to 4ghz with a crossfire hd4850, it's going to get pretty hot in there. I might lose a bit in noise reduction, but the ventilation will be much better, which is better (and I'm not too picky about ventilation either :p).
^^-
Hi
Well! The 4850 still won't overheat your case. I have about the same case for my son (Sonata 1), with an overclocked Pentium 4 at 90 micrometers (that thing heats up as much as a quad) and a 1900 XT that heats up way more than the 4850 given its not-so-great cooling system: in short, I've never had heating issues, as long as I regularly clean the filter because this thing acts a bit like a vacuum cleaner. :-)
